if you dont have this, your waisting hundreds!
just like the title says, if you dont have this, you are wasting hundreds of dollars.i work for a tshirt company, and we where spending around $140 every 3 weeks on new ink. special ink. all black ink cartridges.do you know how much ink was in each cartridge? 8 ml. 8 ML!!! do you know how many ML is in 1 Liter? 1000!!!how much ink where you getting buying cartridges? a total of 48 ML!this ink system packs about a full liter of ink. with larger tanks for yellow and black because they are used the most.the ink system is a little tricky to set up. but the instructions where clear. i had to super glue 1 of the connecters onto the printer, and i also cut part of the printer lid off just to have a spot for the ink tubes to go in without getting squished. but its been a month, and i have hardly seen the ink levels drop at all!working with screen printing, you would think that you need dark dark ink, but its not true. this UV ink works perfect. just make sure you set you printer settings to "best photo" and that you tell it you are printing on "Ultra Premium Photo Paper" and you going to get the darkest ink possible, and it works like a champ.yes, the ink heads do tend to get dirty faster since your not actually changing ink cartridges. but thats to be expected. just run the print head cleaner, and it works good as new!i had black clog up once, but i just ran the cleaner, and it worked perfectly after it was done.and replacement ink is DIRT CHEEP!!! 10$i remember seeing a graph saying that printer ink is the most expensive liquid on the planet. but thats just because printer companies just have a monopoly over this crap. this ink system breaks the rules.the printer tries to always remind you that you have to use genuine epson ink for best results. but with this system, i have the exact same results, and literally a fraction of the cost.now, it does regularly go "i dont know what this ink cartridges is!" on one of the colors. but just pushing the ink cartridge change button once for it to line up, and then pressing it again, the whole thing resets, and your back in business with no flaws in your print.i have a printer at home. its a cheep hp piece of crap. i ran out of ink a year ago, and i have just learned not to print because its just way to expensive to buy more ink.i wish this ink system worked for it, cause this is the greatest deal i have ever found anywhere. you are a fool is you do not own this ink system with this printer. at only $60 for this much ink and a perfect system, as opposed to $140 for 5 8 ml ink cartridges, its literally half the cost, and you get so much more ink.i can not express how happy i am with this ink system.

If I had twenty complaints, it would still be worth it
O.K., I've been using it for a while now and everything is holding up. I did learn a couple things for my 1430 (E pson, wide-carriage.) Some notes:1) You are playing with ink. It's supposed to changed the color of things. So if you don't want "cyan" fingers for a week, wear latex gloves. The same goes for your furniture. Especially when you pull the "breather plugs". Best bet: bathtub, or garage floor. You might not spill a drop. But if you do...that nice white carpet under the coffee table might just have a magenta blotch until you move.2) Get ready to void your warranty. I build my own PC's, so I fancy myself a little handy. But I didn't check out the numerous YouTube videos, and just went by the (extremely sparse) directions in the box. Consequently the little cartridge lid did not cooperate. I finally pried it out and pitched it. No going back now. (Learn from my mistakes and watch the videos!)3) Don't stick the sticky brackets until you're absolutely sure of the placement. They don't unstick.4) The placement of the tubes and tube brackets is finicky and particular, but doable. Patience pays off. I don't have patience, so I settled for perfectly smooth and slick behavior with Letter & Legal, and I have to leave the cover up for Super B (13"x19"). The tubes buck like crazy for the wide paper but they're doing the job. (Watch that they can't drag across the paper as it's printing.)5) Unplugging the printer isn't for safety or static or anything to placate lawyers <spit>. The cartridge carrier assembly won't move freely if you don't.The results are 100%. I printed another copy of a 11"x17" photo I had already done with the factory ink. Indistinguishable. In fact, after long, close examination in different lights and with a hand-held microscope, I realized that I hadn't labelled the paper and now had no way to tell them apart.I ran off another set (after labeling them on the back) and hung them in direct sunlight to test the "UV ink" claim. I'll try and remember to update this review in a month.Bottom line: Replaces an estimated twelve hundred dollars of the equivalent quantity of ink from the factory; fairly easy to install; perfect quality. Five stars. (It's not terrible "pretty" if you have to leave the cover up. So if it spoils you Danish Modern decor, you might take off a star. Me, I like seeing the guts.)

I like my Epson printers over my other brand of printers
I hope this helps amazon customers and the vendor. I am using this on an Epson Stylus Photo 1400. My printing needs are probably more extensive than most. I print pictures, flyers and brochures in house for my smaller clients who only need 50-150 prints in house. I like my Epson printers over my other brand of printers, but the ink cost meant I was making nothing on prints.Pros:* The product is well designed even the packaging shows thoughtful consideration.* The ink reservoirs are large and clearly labeled, They look easy to refill.* I have testing the water resistance on cheap photo paper which is more likely to run by running water on the paper in the sink, not a smudge.* The color on quality photo paper is VERY close to Epson. It is actually closer to matching my calibrated monitor than the Epson ink.Cons:* The instructions while not bad could be better. The quality of the pictures is so poor that they are almost useless. I broke the cartridge lid trying to figure out how to remove the "clip" in the instructions.* You must be careful how far down you place the clip mounted on the ink carriage otherwise the ink tubes will drag on the paper causing the print to smear.Suggestion:* Would be nice if there were caps for the air breather plugs, I don't like pulling the breathers out for transport.* Get some double-sided tape and attach your reservoir to the side of your printer. It moves too easy and can spill.Final assessment: Knowing what I know now, I would buy the product again.
