These strippers have worked perfectly for me on both single and multimode fiber. I didn't have to adjust my pair at all, unlike some of the other reviews. (The only minor problem I had has been stripping off the cladding of some bare fiber in very cold outdoor conditions (near freezing), breaking the fiber while trying to strip. However, I think this is more due to the fiber being more brittle in the cold; when I warmed it up it worked fine without breaking. The only other thing I can think of is maybe the metal of the tool contracts enough from the cold to make the stripping too tight. In any case, work in a room-temperature environment or warm things up and you should be fine.) I have had the best success holding the tool at about 45 degrees relative to the fiber, instead of directly perpendicular to it. Would definitely recommend this tool and buy it again if needed. Seems to be very good quality for the price, not the usual Chinese "junk" that seems to flood the market...

Great ergonomics and performance, but check your set screw!
These work well, feel good in the hand, and will strip cladding without having to hold at an angle. However, my set screw was adjusted incorrectly from the factory (this is a little disappointing and the reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating). I adjusted the set screw now these work for me flawlessly. I prefer the feel of these over many other fiber strippers on the market. Buy these with confidence, but make sure to test on some spare fiber and adjust your set screw if necessary.Background: I am a professional fiber splicer, so these see a lot of use.
