Pretty good wood
Quite soft wood. Although the wood does lack some if the character that other Bass wood has. Probably not given enough time for the tree to mature

Easy to whittle
Good wood to work with which makes life easier. If I was to pick a fault it would be some of the wood is rough and needs smoothing a bit. However I will still buy some more when I need it

Expensive for what it is, but worth it
I’ve been using tree cuttings for some time (free) but without a dremel, it was getting tough on my knives. These blocks are great for practice and withstanding some minute detail.
