SHEEPDOG MICROPHONES HDLO - Tubeless, Covert High Definition 3.5mm Police Listen Only Earpiece (HDLO-3.5), Clear, 24 Inch

I’ve been wearing this ear piece for a little over a year and a half now and it’s been amazing. I can still hear everything going on around me while also hearing dispatch and my other officers on the radio. The audio is clear and crisp even after accidentally putting it through the washing machine. The one and only complaint I have against this is the retaining ear hook. Sometimes the wire comes out of it and needs adjusting every so often. Other than that I would highly recommend it to anyone thinking about buying it and it is definitely worth the money.

I just got it in the mail today. Really simple. Plug in and you’re connected. The comfort is great. As of the transmission, Super Clear. I had a slight issue with the product actually getting to my residence but once I contacted customer service. They were able to get the product to me. If you have ears that accumulate lots of wax. Just clean them before heading out. They do provide extra ear tips/ filters and for those who prefer it. They also attach an ear hook. The down side is the price. But, after long consideration. I’m glad I bought them.

First one I received stopped working within a couple of hours on the first shift. The exchange/replacement was easy and arrived quickly. The second one has worked flawlessly since. The wire clip does not hold the wire securely so a couple of times a week the wire cones out of the clip causing the wire to fall out of place. Overall very pleased with this.

For reference I work on patrol for a major law enforcement agency in a metropolitan area. For the last two years ish. I have been using N-Ear ear pieces. In the two years I went through 6 of them. 4 of them were warrantied and I bought two. So about $300 in two years for ear pieces. Last week my n-ear died on me in the middle of shift. I needed a quick replacement (luckily it broke on my Friday). I have had my eye on a sheepdog ear piece for a while but never pulled the trigger on it because while N-ears were breaking on me left and right, they were incredibly comfortable, and the sound was amazing. But this time I didn’t feel like messing around with n-ears awful customer service, I bought the sheepdog. And I am very glad I did. The overall quality seems good. I’m still unsure about longevity but so far it works amazing. The audio is slightly worse than the n-ear but has less of the annoying white noise when someone keys up. So overall it’s evens out. As for comfort it is on par with the n-ear. It fits amazing. Now for the reason I bought it, cost. At half the price I can say it’s definitely worth the money. Hopefully it doesn’t die on me like the n-ears have.

I regret purchasing the SHEEPDOG MICROPHONES HDLO. The product’s design and functionality did not meet my expectations. First and foremost, the fit is problematic—the microphone keeps falling out of my ear, even with minimal movement. The material feels very thin and weak, which leads me to question its durability over time. Despite its promises, the performance doesn’t live up to the hype. I would not recommend this product to others, as it fails to provide the reliability and comfort I was hoping for. Unfortunately, it didn’t meet the standards I expected for this type of device.

Great while out talking calls for work. Sometimes I forget I’m wearing this piece in my ear until the other end of the radio of someone talking loud is in my ear but I have at the lowest volume. Connected right away and the length of the cord I’m still trying to get figured out

Maybe it’s just my luck, other reviews seem to imply it is. I received my first ear piece, it worked fine for maybe 2-3 days before the audio became extremely muffled and crackly. I sent it back for a second, thinking maybe it was just a dud. I received my second relatively quick, so kudos to them for the quick customer service, however the second one never worked properly, terrible audio which led to me missing multiple transmissions. I’d say be cautious.

Used this for awhile and will not go back to a tube. It’s perfect.
