Why I Chose Revitin For My Family
Let's get straight to the pointโthis toothpaste isn't cheap, and while price and quality don't always go hand in hand, it makes you think that there's something special about it. I started reading reviews, and as you can see, they are not just complimentary but enthusiastic. I try to choose the most natural and beneficial products for myself and my child, so the ingredients didn't raise any concerns; in fact, they delighted meโthere's no fluoride or SLS, which are often found in cheaper toothpastes. Additionally, it contains probiotics, vitamins C and E, cranberry extract, and even CoQ-10. Based purely on the ingredients, it ought to be an excellent choice. But what about my experience? The toothpaste has a pleasant citrus (orange) flavor. It's not overpowering, sweet, or chemicalโitโs just nice. It does a great job of cleaning my teeth, despite the lack of aggressive chemicalsโit effectively removes plaque, and even my dentist complimented me on this! My gums feel healthier after using the toothpaste consistently. In short, I am satisfied with the results and the toothpaste itself. Of course, itโs not a budget option, but good health comes at a price.

The only gentle toothpaste for my sensitive body lol
This is the only toothpaste I've found that is gentle for me, I have circulation issues and insulin resistance, and an imbalanced oral microbiome can actually cause these issues. I've also been taking oral probiotics which have changed my life- possibly saved me. I recommend them for everyone because I'm sure they could help so many health issues but anyways back to the toothpaste LOL--- it doesn't have the best texture, since it doesn't have any foaming agents or weird chemicals, it doesn't foam up, in case any of you are picky with that. Personally, I don't care, I'm just glad to have a toothpaste that doesn't give me leg cramps and dehydration LOL. It tastes delicious. I normally wouldn't think a toothpaste should taste citrus flavored, but I think they alkalize the formula enough and it actually feels like a treat at night because it tastes so good, like orange creamsicle. yum....... yes it is expensive. That's the main downside.......I manage to make it last a while so it depends how much of a priority it is to you. If needed, you could always make your own gentle toothpaste at home and use some kind of prebiotic ingredient and sit that in your mouth after brushing. Just an idea! One thing that also really helps with fresh breath that I recommend looking into is chlorophyll. It freshens my breath really well and many others have said the same :-) it also has a ton of health benefits.

You get what you pay for here.
Do some research if you wonder about the benefits and quality that effect the price. This is the best product available on any practical level that's available on the open market-bar none. Others seem to come close but many self-proclaimed "natural" products use the (literal) rat poison sold as "Fluoride." Look this up-it's true. It's an industrial waste product sold as a "health benefit". You do not want indiscriminate killing off of microbes, sane as in the gut. There are beneficial/essential microbes and disease causing ones. The closest to this product that I've found in the 'alternate' wholesome vein of toothpastes use Xylitol, which has it's 'pros' but the con is it is not good for the digestive flora which starts in the mouth, the body's prime auto-immune defense. Then consider that most manufacturers derive Xylitol from corn, which is about 95% GMO here in the States. Even if the insecticide poisons aren't manufactured into the GMO organism, they are still sprayed with Glyphosate (a herbicide and crop desiccant) plus fungicides and insecticides. The digestive track is the body's front line and primary auto-immune defense system, but people forget that the digestive track -and its defenses- begins in the mouth. Gum and related oral diseases are being identified as an origin for a host of maladies in recent medical journals, including plaque build up as it related to heart disease. Most recently, gum disease has been linked to Alzheimer's and dementia. I see a few people concerned about the price. Financial concerns have to be prioritized, but for such a crucial area of overall health this may be a case of being penny-wise and pound foolish. A few people complained that this toothpaste was "too sweet" for their palate. I thought the taste pleasant and refreshing and certainly not "too sweet", though some people do perceive Stevia as being inherently over-sweet. I'd remind people to use just a pea sized portion-not the bristle-length bead as seen on commercials and ads promoting waste (to use more thus buy more), then consider trying something like dusting the paste with baking soda. This product uses citrus (e.g. Tangerine Oil, Orangic Lemon Oil) perhaps a tiny drop of an appropriate (high quality) dilution of essential oil (E.O.'s) (don't swallow) might mitigate a perception of being over sweet. According to biosourcenaturals web site, complimentary E.O.'s to citrus (i.e. Grapefruit) include Clove (traditionally used for toothaches), Pine, Cypress, Juniper Berry. All these E.O's (and others) are all regraded as GRAS or โGenerally Recognized as Safeโ by the FDA for topical use. Consult with a health care practitioner with competencies in essential oil applications. Some have very informative websites and have educational video's on YouTube and related services at no cost to you. It's worth the effort.

Weak teeth/enamel
The product tasted fine, cost is high, but I learned a few things after a few weeks of using. The citrus was not good for my weak teeth and not having flouride was problematic for me because I have had crowns and a lot of dental work. My lower front teeth were blue after 3 weeks and I stopped using the tooth paste and and after a week, they turned back to normal. It was almost like you could see through the tops of my bottom front teeth. Dentist said that I have to use a flouride toothpaste and now I am replacing a crown and had a small filling. I very rarely eat sugar as well.

Great for our whole family
I wanted to get our family's oral health in better condition, especially with kiddos. This has been really great as my kids are so picky when it comes to toothpaste flavor, and the gentle citrus is perfect! It really does help your teeth feel clean in the morning, which I have never experienced with flouride toothpastes, or even with other natural toothpastes. It also makes me happy to know my toddler can swallow this without issue, and I am glad to know we can heal our teeth instead of constantly damaging them. I hope this product becomes available on Canadian shelves soon!
