I’ve been using this Neoteck non-contact voltage tester for basic electrical checks around the house, and it’s been very reliable. The non-contact design makes it easy and safe to use — just bring the tip near an outlet or wire, and it quickly indicates if there’s live voltage. The buzzer and light alert are clear and easy to notice, even in brighter environments. The built-in LED flashlight is a nice bonus, especially when working in dim areas like behind appliances or inside panels. The Neoteck Voltage Tester was delivered on time and in good condition. The new tester is a replacement for another tester that I gave away as a gift. Since arrival I have checked the new tester for functionality, durability, speed, appearance and accuracy and its working fine. I recommended as a very useful tool to have around when checking or doing electrical work.

I'm unsure if this would stand up to industrial use (everyday, rough treatment), but it does the job at a very effective cost and includes a useful flashlight on the working end. If you are not a pro and you are doing electrical work around the house, it seems to me this is a well worthwhile investment to protect yourself.

Update on May 3rd Amazon addressed and resolved the issue by arranging to send a replacement immediately. The second one works like a champ. It must have been one defective piece. Product does not work as described. I am wondering 13000 customers bought this and it has a rating of 4.3! The tester should beep at a lower frequency and display only the yellow bars when on Null and beep at a higher frequency and display the red bars also when on a live wire. The live wire shows the yellow bars and low frequency beep and the Null and Ground shows nothing. I specifically bought this because it is supposed to display both conditions. It FAILED! Now here comes the icing on the cake - There is no technical support from Amazon or the manufactrer by Chat or by Phone. They do not seem a presence in USA. The packaging shows two numbers - one in Germany and the other in UK. I needed support and Amazon disappointed me. All they have is precorded FAQs but no person I can chat with. May be I am making a mistake in using. I bought this to install a Thermostat and now I have to wait. I have attached a picture from the Amazon website showing how it should work.
