KILZ Klear Primer, Interior/Exterior, Clear, 5 Gallon

This did a great job on bricks and painted cinder blocks. It did dry quickly. Adhered well to the crannies of the masonry and protected the stain I did underneath. It's been a while but I don't recall there being any smell, but I was outside.

Use this product to seal the floor before I painted it, make sure you clean an etch the surface before you apply it. So far so good, paint stuck great.

Fantastic! Rapidly stirs up smoothly and goes on very easily! I used a simple regular paint brush and used this on the exposed wood of some porch trim and on an exterior door that was weatherbeaten down to a lot of exposed wood. The surfaces accepted the product readily, and once dry, this stuff made the application of the actual paint an easy job! Thank you for making this product!

Bed room walls had a problem with paint peeling off so sand it down and it the KILZ on before the paint and it worked fantastic no more problems

I must say I was impressed with the packaging of this product. KILZ Klear Multi-Surface Stain Blocking Interior/Exterior Latex Primer/Sealer came in a gallon paint can with clips to assure that the lid would stay firmly in place (see photo). They also provided a paint mixer stick. The can wasn't as substantial as some products I've used in the past and the lid seal bent fairly easy (see photo). This is probably a trend across the industry where less metal is being used in containers. The primer was milky in appearance and very thin. It appeared chalky as I applied it. This is not a criticism but an observation. It has a noticeable strong odor. Ammonia comes to mind. We are in the middle of a home renovation project and I have attached a picture of the stain in the ceiling joint where the Kilz primer was used. It dried quickly, about 30 minutes for a thin layer and 40 to 45 minutes for a thicker layer. It even worked well with a nail hole where a painting had hung. After the Kilz primer dried, I could not feel the hole when I ran my finger over the hole! I have attached a picture of the nail hole. Because the Kilz is clear, you can see the hole BUT the hole is filled and you can't feel it. Nice! I am satisfied with this product.

I’ve only ever seen white Kilz, was super happy when I saw they had clear. I have a lot of wood (reclaimed) that I’ve sanded any spots off of and didn’t want to paint it, this solved my problems totally 😁

It's a great primer to make the first coat the last coat
