how often can it be applied?

I have been doing it twice a month. I apply it the night before I am going to wash my hair, work it into my scalp while I watch the news, and wear a cap to sleep. It has a rich, herb smell that is pleasant to me...........relaxing. I have rubbed a couple drops into the ends of my hair after I wash it to keep the ends from frizzing (I have curly hair when wet, wavy when dry. I am 70, so my hair is thin and greying)

What is the base oil? Sesame etc? What oil is the bhringraj steeped in?

Our Bhringraj oil is 100% pure and natural. It is the closest one can get from mother nature. Nothing has been added or taken away. The oil is highly rich in nutrients and is intended for hair, skin, beauty and therapeutic purposes. Thanks and warm regards. SVA Organics

Has this oil darkened anyone's hair color?

Not darken, although is is supposed to keep natural hair color from going grey. This oil is so good for your hair, and will actually in my opinion, re grow hair in thinner places. If you rub onto bottom of your feet just before bed, it helps with sleep. Amazing product, no matter what brand you buy.

Can this oil be mixed with amla oil for better results?

SVA ORGANICS BHRINGRAJ OIL is great for nourishing your hair and stimulating hair growth. SVA ORGANICS AMLA Oil also conditions the hair deeply. So, yes you can mix both the oils to improve your hair and scalp health.
