Will the leather of this leather jacket fall?

I have been buying this leather jacket for one year. It's just fine to get it out of the washing machine and dry it. It's now intact and hangs in my closet.

I have an iphone xs max, which is a larger phone. would it be able to fit in the side pockets or any of the pockets?

I keep an AT&T Radiant in a velcro case in the inside pocket and fits fine, and its far easier to get to from the inside pocket than the side pockets. The radiant in the case is about the same size as a an Iphone XS max, so you should be fine.
