G02 8GB Clip MP3 Player with FM Shuffle & Sweatproof Silicone Case | Screen-Free Portable Music Player, No Bluetooth, Simple for Sports, Running & Walking

EDIT: 2 years of every other day running year-round, and it is still going strong and still holds a charge. Unfortunately 2 years of sweat dripping into the headphone jack has corroded the contacts, so I have to twist the headphone plug a few times to get stereo. You may not have this problem if you don't sweat as much as me! I just bought another of the same item to replace it. I've also noticed an issue that may be responsible for some other complaints about battery life: When you charge the device and then unplug it from the charger, it is left in the ON setting. If you put it away in a drawer without remembering to switch it OFF, it will drain the battery (no auto-shutoff). --- I am a 57 year old music lover and trail runner. My third iPod shuffle bit the dust and since they're discontinued I decided to try the Agptek G02. I wanted something tiny and easy to control without having to read an LCD display. Reliability: The iPod shuffle was made of metal and you could probably run over it with a car without breaking it, while the Agptek is plastic. Nonetheless it seems to be well made and has given me no issues in 1-1/2 months of use trail running in hot weather. The silicon skin is a great idea and seems to be effective at keeping sweat out of the unit, so I'm hoping it will last longer than my assorted iPod shuffles. Sound quality: I'm very picky about sound quality, and have been assessing headphones and speakers for decades. My reference headphones are Sennheiser HD-600, which are high impedance phones not suited to portable devices. However using my usual running headphones (discontinued Sony MDR-A34) the Agptek G02 sounds at least as good as the iPod shuffle so I'm happy. Usability: Here the Agptek easily bests the iPod. Sure you might change the volume setting while clipping it onto your clothes, but it was almost impossible to clip the iPod shuffle on without skipping one or more tracks. Compared to the iPod, the Agptek is much easier to adjust volume and skip tracks while running thanks to the larger control surface. With the iPod I would often accidentally skip tracks while trying to change the volume or vice versa. It's also easier to see it is on thanks to the LED light. It lacks the iPod's voiceover feature, but I almost never used that anyway. Also be warned that with the Agptek in random/shuffle mode, you can not replay tracks by skipping back as you could with the iPod. Battery life: I haven't done a direct comparison (since all my iPod shuffles are dead now) but I would expect the Agptek to have poorer battery life due to the always-on LED. Nonetheless it lasted a month on the first charge, for roughly 10-15 hours of use. EDIT: it lasted at least 20 hours on the second charge! Capacity: 8GB for the Agptek G02 (not expandable) vs 2GB for the iPod shuffle (also not expandable). Big improvement! Radio: I haven't tried this feature. Price: less than half the price of the iPod shuffle though to be fair the shuffle came with ear buds. Considering the usability improvement and added capacity the Agptek is a bargain.

Revised AGAIN 2/8/22 Replacement for #5 died after less than 45 minutes of use. Garbage. Revised 2/3/22 REVISING MY REVIEW-WAY LOWER. In the last YEAR I have had to buy FIVE OF THESE THINGS. The longest serving one lasted about 4 months. The shortest was about 4 days. These things work well while they work, but 110% will absolutely stop working abruptly. These things are positively horrendously manufactured. No QC whatsoever. That being said, if you don't mind having to return one every month, go for it. Here is how all of mind abruptly died: #1: 3/11/21 -5/5/21: Flat stopped working. #2: 5/18/21 - 11/7/21: LOUD Feedback, then abruptly stopped working #3: 11/14/21 - 12/21/21: Charging port MELTED #4: 12/22/21 - 1/22/22: MELTED again #5: 1/27/22 - 2/3/22: LOUD feedback, then abruptly stopped working. I will never order one of these again after I get the replacement for the most recent one. ___________________________________________ Overall, this thing is pretty damn good for 20-something bucks. I would give it 5 stars, but there are just two quirks that drive me crazy. Cons: -Repeats songs (With 500+ songs, I heard the same song 3 times in 30 minutes on Sunday) -Lag between songs is 2-3 seconds. Doesn't seem like much, but when you're exhausted and need that beat to keep pushing, a lag (and thus hearing your own breath for a second) can take some air out of the sails -Like others have said, make sure you turn it off. There is no auto-off of on/off switch (you hold play button to turn on/off), so you have to remember to turn it off. Pros: -Easy as heck to load -Excellent battery life -Good volume and controls -Great replacement for an iPod shuffle, especially given that used shuffles are going for 80+ on Ebay

I used my tiny iPod shuffle for many years until it finally just stopped taking a charge and quit working. After that I wanted something small, light and simple to use so I bought this AGPTEK G02 8GB Clip MP3 Player to use while mountain biking and working out. It's small, very light, very durable and very simple to use. It comes with a robust clip that works with pretty much any type of workout clothing and is so light that it is not noticeable when wearing. It works with any mini-jack headphone/earbuds and is not bluetooth which is what I wanted. I find bluetooth earbuds combined with a small player like this are just too many things to charge and keep track of for mountain biking; if a bud falls out or the player comes loose, the jack and wire keep it all together. This is the second AGPTEK G02 8GB Clip MP3 player I've purchased because I destroyed the first one by riding in heavy rain without the included silicone waterproof case which was my fault, not the fault of the player. Now I take the waterproof case with me if it looks like rain.

After trying like mad, and then giving up looking, to find my old iPod for riding my bike and skating, to then fill with a near-endless supply of 80s rock, metal and pop, I decided to just find a new little mp3 player. This one definitely does the trick! I don't care about a screen, as it just stays in my pocket, on shuffle. It's very light, and with the silicone case, seems very well protected, especially if I would crash. It has a very easy to manage, just drag and drop MP3s to the folder, like the way iTunes SHOULD HAVE BEEN FROM THE START !@#$, and overall is a great little piece. Loud sound, but no way to really equalize the sound, compared to an iPod. Not a lot of bass in the music, but it sounds clear and works well for what it does. There's no headphones or anything with this, but the ones that these things come with are usually lousy anyways - I tried with my good Bose earbuds, and also the little Panasonic ones I use that I don't worry about if they get broke, and it's still the same. Clear, loud, nice sound, just wish there was a bit more bass in the sound it puts out. If you're looking for a little shuffle player, this one would be a great choice!

For me is perfectly fine. * I can’t comment on Durability and Battery Life (So Far): Since I just received the device yesterday, I can't speak to how long the battery lasts between charges or how durable it is over time. The AGPTEK G02 is ideal for anyone looking for a simple, lightweight, and affordable way to listen to music on the go. I purchased the G02 8Mb mp3 player in July 2025. I was able to load 7 files initially. Some months later the player was not recognized by my PC (Windows 10). It did not appear in the file manager. I tried a few days later and was able to download more files from the same PC. Since October, the player is not recognized again. I tried a different usb port, different cable, 2 different laptops. None of them recognized the Mp3 player. The player does not show in the device manager. The player was fully charged at the time. It is fantastic otherwise. I like the compact size, the clip, no Bluetooth, USB C charge port, the SIMPLICITY. I don't like the flashing red/blue led lights that flash when files are playing (alternating blue and red in shuffle mode, flashing blue in repeat mode). I have never used the FM radio function. If I could find a way to get more files loaded it would be the ideal player. Others have noted that it stops being recognized for file transfers after a while. If I can get it working again, I will have all the files i want to add ready to load at one time in case it fails again. I reached out to Agptek support via email weeks ago. Still haven't hear from them even after submitting my requested order info. The support phone mail is full and can't accept contact info. Still waiting for help. 3/4/26 The seller did promptly send a replacement mp3 player. I assume it works just fine. I will not try to use it until after i have ALL my files converted, sorted, and ready to load onto the player.

I was a shuffle user for years when running. I was burning through them every few months and Best Buy was replacing them with the $10 warranty I purchased but then they decided to stop giving excellent customer service and make this my problem that had to be resolved with Apple directly so I ended up ultimately finding a company through Amazon that waterproofs Shuffles and sells them for a few hundred $$. I ran with one of those for a few years and it was awesome - until it quit working... Same company still does that but surely there are alternatives to that type of $$. I found this and ordered it. If you are a Windows user, you can take a playlist in iTunes, highlight and copy, then paste to a folder on your PC - it will copy the songs on the list into that folder and then you can drag drop onto this player. Controls are different than a shuffle but you quickly get used to everything - it's volume up/down, pause, next/previous track - all the same as the shuffle just different positions. The FF through music does not work for me but I can live with that. When this breaks I will buy another one for $20. Great for running - good volume. Battery lasts quite a while.

UPDATE: Obviously, I try to be optimistic about cheap items. I work in customer service and you pay for what you get. I don’t like to bitch & whine. But this MP3 Player is literal T R A S H lol. I bought this a week ago... it already stopped working. Won’t even charge. I charge it all night, triple check that it’s off, put it in my purse for work and it’s dead. The shuffle option did the same thing, plays the same songs. I find myself hitting skip 20 times in a row to TRY and get different music. (8 hours of the same few songs is not the business. But my coworkers are annoying so it’s better than them I guess lmao) I’m hoping they’ll let me return it. If it actually stayed charged I’d let my 5 year old have it for our drives to school and stuff but it literally has NO use anymore. Definitely do NOT recommend. For $20 it’s honestly a good deal all things considered. You’ve gotta understand for the price you’re not getting top of the line. I listen to music at work, a full 8 hr shift. It lasts the whole time. The reviews mentioning it only playing the same songs is true.. I was really hoping it wasn’t. BUT, the shuffle option fixes this. I have approximately 200 songs on this tiny thing and it still has room! So the capacity is pretty decent. Downloading music is a breeeeeze. If you search YouTube mp3 converter on google, you can put the YouTube link of the song in and download it to your computer. Then just drag the downloaded file and hover it over the connected device. If anything changes I’ll be sure to update this review.

Wanted a alternative to ipod shuffle for running. It's a good option. Pro- 1. Simple to use 2. Does the job - don't know how long it will last. But even if it runs a year at 2.5k it's worth it. 3. Audio quality is as good or better than the ipod (which is maybe 15 yrs old) Cons 1. 2 times as big as the ipod shuffle. 2. Not as durable or watertight as the ipod shuffle. 3. Cannot choose folders. Plays songs in shuffle mode or as added on the device. Can go for it if you find around 2.5k.

Very bad product.

I needed an MP3 player for my dad who's not very good with electronics, it has large buttons and is generally easy to use, perfect for his needs. Everyone was really impressed how well this worked, it also feels like a sturdy little device. One weird quirk with the device is that it plays tracks in the order they are copied, which is really strange, so you can't just drag and drop an album, you really need to drag and drop each song in order, which is not a great user experience. Other than that, really can't complain.

Comprei para ouvir música nas corridas. Como o produto concorrente com acesso a Spotify chega a custar em média mil reais, um preço fora da realidade para qualquer tocador de mp3 (o preço de um smarwatch com essa e outras funcionalidades), resolvi testar este produto, mais simples (sem acesso a spotify). Minhas observações: - Material frágil. O produto é feito de um plástico que aparenta bastante fragilidade. O encaixe do cabo de carregamento também parece frouxo. Não aparenta ter uma boa durabilidade. - Usabilidade terrível. Começa que não tem botão de desligar. Ele fica ligado direto e, mesmo com a leitura do manual e muita pesquisa no site do fabricante e na internet, não é possível saber como ele desliga. Nas várias vezes que usei, a luz permanece acessa por horas após o uso. Assim, parece que fica ligado até acabar a carga da bateria. E não dá para saber quando a bateria está fraca ou não. - Ainda quanto à usabilidade. Tem dois leds e você tem que consultar o manual para saber o que significa cada situação e combinação dos leds (piscando, aceso etc.). Um verdadeiro quebra cabeça. Não tem resposta por áudio. Assim, não sabemos quando alteramos o volume, se chegamos ao volume máximo etc. - Continuando com a usabilidade. A reprodução é confusa. Apesar de ter um botão para escolher modo aleatório ou em loop, não parece seguir qualquer padrão. Toca músicas aleatórias, outras não reproduz de modo algum, para de tocar de uma hora para outra etc. - Em relação ao uso em atividades físicas, ele não é à prova de água. Até acompanha uma capinha de silicone, mas nada que proteja contra água e suor. No meu caso, acabo envolvendo o produto em um saco zip bag. Enfim, é um aparelho bem básico. Mesmo não sendo caro como o produto concorrente, ainda tem um preço acima para o que oferece. Uma pena, pois me lembro que antigamente havia diversos mp3 players com a mesma proposta de muita qualidade.
