Nikon PROSTAFF P3 10x42 Binoculars

Excellent bit of kit. Very clear optics. Good range of field. Not too heavy for longer distances. Would say good value for money. Highly recommend.

Not an expert but I can certainly see and touch the quality of these binoculars. Great for hikes and nature escapes with kids

Excellent piece of kit

I thought these for holidays abroad for myself and our children to use. They are quite compact and sturdy and ideal for travel. There is good image quality, very sharp and comfortable on the eyes and the magnification is very good with a wide field of vision. On some review websites some people mention an issue with colouration but even then it is splitting hairs and I don’t see any issues. Very pleased with purchase. The inclusion of the book with the set I bought is a nice touch so these would be a great gift for someone starting birdwatching without costing too much. Considering how much one can spend on binoculars I think these are good value for what I bought them for. I have used them at night also and they work very well.

I thought Nikon had its own in house manufacturing in Japan. I find the binoculars are made in China. Very good binoculars quality wise. Not too heavy, very good image, fiddley to fit strap. I wear glasses and find them easy to use wearing glasses

I'm very happy with the Nikon Prostaff P3 10x42 binoculars. I compared them against the Prostaff P3 10x30 (slightly smaller and lighter) and the Hawke Vantage 10x42. For me personally, I didn't like the Hawke's. It really was a hard decision between the P3 10x30's and the 10x42's. Obviously the 10x42's cost more, are heavier and larger, but they are easier to hold, and the viewing experience is just better (for me at least). Image is nice and sharp, focusing is very precise and smooth. Build quality is very good. I did notice that the 10x30's can focus down to a distance of 2m or so, whereas these have a minimum focus distance of around 3.5m. Carrying case is fine, but not quite as good as the Hawkes.

I upgraded from 8x32 Oregon 4 to the Nikon Prostaff 10x42, really pleased i did, better magnification and far lighter without compromising field of vision or clarity which both surpass the Oregon 4. Good case. Light enough for my grandchildren to use and easy to use, its that stable to use, and so for me represents good value for money .

J'ai utilisé ces jumelles en safari et j'ai beaucoup apprécié - la grande qualité optique bien lumineuse, - le large champs de vision, - le réglage fluide et facile, - assez compactes et légères. Je regrette - la courroie vraiment inconfortable, - les caches ne sont pas attachés et peuvent donc se perdre facilement, - la housse souple. Très bon rapport qualité / prix.
