IGK Permanent Hair Dye Color Kit, Warm Up 5GM, Golden Mahogany Brown

Easy to use. Excellent set-up for confident and organized application. Stains on skin fades quickly 99% on the first wash. One spot on my thumbnail stayed stained forever where the in box glove had a tear. Packet comes with special stain remover wipes and stain barrier. My hair texture did feel different after the first rinse and few washes. I was worried the dye had damaged my hair- but after alot of rounds of washing( months 1 1/2) my hair has returned to normal. Seems the dye accumulates on the hair strands and fades with every wash. There was a bit of leaching (dye bleeding onto towels/pillow case) for that first week- mostly If I went to bed with damp hair. I'd say 90%-100% of that has washed out over a few washes as well. I applied in black hair with some pearly white strands/ patches showing through. I was 100% satisfied with the coverage. Seems the longer you leave it the more it stains. Its been a while and my silver hairs have grown, there is a clear line where the black dye has become lighter brownish and the new hair has grown in white. I'd say it looks kinda brownish now. But honestly this A ok for me I wanted to save $50+ having a stylish cover some 12 white hairs in various spots of my scalp. The result color was phenomenal. A true-er black than my natural color and full coverage for my whites. I will probably re apply at some point, and or pair with a black dye depositing hair mask or conditioner. If I decide to do this regularly. Great value for the price. I have thick medium deep brown/black hispanic hair, almost shoulder length. I found the bottle to have more than enough for my needs. (Again not changing colors) I'd say if you are going from a lighter color or have longer than shoulder length hair maybe buy 2 to apply twice just incase. Definitely wipe any stained skin as you go to save yourself some scrubbing. But I didn't care too much and had no stains that showed on my face or neck after first wash. I did accidentally scrub the dye into a small portion of my scalp and it started feeling a bit irritated- Just be gentle. (That was definitely on me though) And always test skin and follow box directions. Other than that I had no skin reactions. Cleared up immediately after wash for me.

I really love this hair color kit! The color looks rich and natural, my hair feels soft, and the shine is amazing. It also has an incredible scent compared to other hair dyes, which made the whole process much more enjoyable. I’ll definitely use it again.

For reference, I am Asian, have long medium fine hair down to my upper ribs, and my roots were about 1.5-2” in dark brown while the rest of my hair was a warm brownish copper faded bayalage. I recently tried the garnier oil hair color and my hair felt awful after and the color faded super fast. The ends of my hair were split and white. I also noticed it didn’t darken my hair all the way, there were lots of spots that were lighter where they were bleached before. So I did what any sane woman and first lightly trimmed my hair. Then I got to business. I’ve been eyeing this hair dye on Amazon and took the lunge just because my roots were so bad. There are reviews saying that they needed multiple boxes for medium short hair so I got 3 boxes for short hair because well, it arrived the next day and I wanted an at home glow up over the weekend. (Seriously- laminated my brows, dermaplaned, tanned, filed my nails, overnight face mask everything) I followed the directions and then I actually processed for 45 minutes because of my bleached parts(that’s what was recommended for grey coverage so why not) I shampooed with a gentle nonstripping shampoo and did a hair mask, then applied Wow gloss spray and gave myself a blowout. And just.. STUNNING!!! Seriously. It looked just like I came out of the salon. Everything was one color and just so glossy, shiny and soft. The color was deep and had a warmth but not overly just like the box. I couldn’t stop touching my hair. I did only use two boxes. I felt like I should honestly quit my job and become a hairdresser after that. (Not really, but I was like dang girl you did that!) I would recommend to anyone. It is a splurge, but you get what you pay for.

So far love this hair color easy to use color comes out as it should a great coverage! Let’s see how long it lasts but I love it so far! No runs on my pillowcases too!

Faded very quickly. The picture of my daughter after it was 1st done looked GREAT! She loved it. However, as you can see 3 weeks later its very faded and no where near black. If you are okay with color fading quick OR if you want a black that washes out well in case you're not happy with how you look with black hair this would be for you. I will say that its kinda nice that it fades in case you want to change your hair or go back to blonde.. but if you want black hair, like black hair, and dont want it to fade at all, get a different brand.

Amazing. Color coverage is great (including covering grays) and long lasting. My hair wasn’t damaged at all and had remained vibrant. My natural color is dark blonde but I’ve been using harsh box red dye for a couple of years now. I highly recommend this dye!

So far so good! I have only had the dye in my hair for a few hours so far. We'll see how it holds up. I got the fuchsia because the color on all the photos and everything looked absolutely beautiful. It didn't turn out like the pictures but I love it anyway. It's a bit more of a darker purpley. FYI I have medium light hair with no previous dye in it. I like to think I'm blonde but I think that was really in my younger days. LoL The instructions were super clear. It even gave a little more detail than most packages as to how to part your hair and which part to start on. It includes a little pack of gel to put around your hairline to avoid staining which is a super nice touch. Otherwise it's a pretty standard squirt color into the developer and go. No heat required or even suggested. I'm pretty good at not getting dye all over everything but where I did, it came off very easily. All in all it was pretty easy and I hope it lasts. :)

Was very excited to get this on cyber Monday, it’s expensive but is the best hair dye kit I’ve ever used and the color is so vibrant. Couple it with a really good color treated hair shampoo and it lasts! I have been using the volcanic black for about a year and am hooked. I got 2 for 42 bucks on the cyber Monday deal. I’m willing to pay the 32 a box normally because it’s worth it but was so excited to get the deal!! Fast shipping, no complaints at all!

The colour was fantastic and lasted about 12 weeks. Made my hair super soft. After 5 or 6 weeks I would use a colour depositing mask (made by another brand) and I would re-dye my hair with IGK every 3 months or so. My natural colour is a medium to dark brown and I've attached a picture of the dyed colour in bright daylight.

Nice colour but I have had longer lasting and better coverage by the box colours from the pharmacy for a third of the price. Colour change was not very noticeable

Since the day I colored my hair every time I wash it the color is coming out with the water for approximately a month, and the color just faded like that even tho it supposed to be dark. I don’t recommend it all 👎🏻

I purchased the golden brown kit. My hair turned out more orange than I was hoping for, it's still brown but with a really warm tint. Now that being said it more than likely has to do with my own warm undertone and no fault of the actual product just my own application. Even with the orange I still like it. It covered most of my greys. I love that the box comes with everything I'll need to dye my hair minus the clips and comb. It makes it really easy to do. Loved the product and will definitely buy again.

Too much red undertone. Do not buy if you want a cool brown colour!
