Works great with Google Home
The plug was easy to set up. It took less than 10 minutes total. You simply have to download the app, setup an account, activate your smart plug, and install a new smart home device using the google home. It is a fantastic deal for the price and prevents you from having to buy an entire hub like with other products. You can control the device using the app or with your google home. CONS: I did not like that I had to install an account, provide an email address, and register an account just to use my plug. Also, the people with issues about pairing difficulties need to realize the device uses wifi to function. So, if you wifi signal is not strong, the device will have connectivity issues. (Just as any device will have connectivity issues).

One works, and one is a DUD :/
Edited 9/28/17: Returned an unusable socket and ordered 2 more, hoping that they would work~ these 2 new ones are designed slightly different than the 2 I had purchased before, and you also register them with a different app than before (Tuya Smart v. Smart Life), so perhaps they are updated? Anyways, these both worked great out of the box, and I even got them on sale, so 2 sockets for $24-25 was a steal! I can now control my tv and heater in addition to the light I had before... I am thrilled! Upgraded from 3 star review to 5 ***** stars!!!! :)--------------Ordered two of these sockets to work with my Echo Dot~ one worked right out of the box and one won't turn on at all~ a little frustrating seeing as I now have to return it and order a new one and begin the set-up process again for this one when I was hoping to just knock both out today~ set up for the usuable one was pretty straightforward and now my bedroom lamp works great with Alexa voice control.... it's just my tv feels lonely and will have to wait for a new (functioning) one to arrive.... also, as an added note~ these are sizeable sockets and will render the other socket of the outlet you have it plugged into unusable unless you have an outlet adapter which is what I anticipated, and which is why I purchased a 4-pack of adaptors in the same order :) .... I will update with any new information such as how/ if MJeck customer service responds, and will possibly adjust stars as needed.

Couldn't get it to work with Alexa
Works great as a smart plug but doesn't work with Echo. I tried everything, rebooted my router, Echo, unplugged these things, nothing worked. The whole time I could switch the lights on and off using the Tuya or the Smart Life app (It seems like most of these smart plugs use the Tuya service but have a rebranded app). I ended up using an IFTTT rule to trigger a scene but it doesn't leave me with a nice phrase I can say to Alexa. What's weird is that the Alexa app discovers the plugs but the actual Echo device doesn't recognize them or discover them. I have two Echos and neither will discover the plugs.

It works very well and is reliable
This product was very reasonably priced and works like a champ. I have purchased more of them. I had one dud, which Mjeck quickly replaced with a new one. Mjeck recommends the "Smart Life" Android app, which is the easiest and best app of this type that I have ever used. It blows away the WEMO app and it's way overpriced WiFi outlet. I have been using these Mjeck outlets for months and have had not one issue, beyond the dud that I mentioned above. I wish that Tuya Inc. would make their "Smart Life" app available for a Windows PC. I highly recommend the Mjeck WiFi outlet.

If you’re using Alexa, don’t buy these..
Let me start by saying that I have a house filled with these plugs, and they have all worked flawlessly -until now. So I know how to install them AND make them work with Alexa. But something has happened to the software that makes it impossible for Alexa to find these NO MATTER HOW CLOSELY you follow their instructions. I’ve followed the instructions to the T, reset everything, done all the troubleshooting steps suggested, and still nothing. They’re going back.Don’t waste your time.

Only worked for 108 times clicked on and off. Read for more info.
Bought this product just over a year ago, seems really convenient that the one year warranty ran out 2 weeks before it broke. Anyways, I have used this product with care and using it only to turn a light strip on and off. I maybe use this light strip twice a week, and turning it on and off two times a week for 54 weeks is 108 times turned on. It is very disappointing to see a product made to be turned and off, yet malfunction in little over 108 TIMES. I have started to use another smart plug now with a 10-year warranty, and as a start test, I turned it on and off 100 times. Guess which one still works? Please don't provide this brand with any money, it is nearly useless.

Works with Eufy Genie out of the box.
Even though you need a magnifying glass to read the included instructions, this smart plug worked great with my new Eufy Genie(uses Alexa commands). I'm using these to control lights in two different rooms and they work well after figuring it out. You do need, in this case, to download both the Alexa app as well as the Smarthome app(both available on the Google Play Store), but after setting both apps up to recognize this smart plug all worked fine. For the money, this works great and I can even use the Smarthome app to control my lights separate of Alexa, a nice backup feature. A great buy for the money.

Won’t stay connected!!
It worked well when I first got it. But then the app wasn’t able to communicate with it. Alexa devices could still communicate with it but the app couldn’t. I noticed because the schedule I programmed stopped working and I couldn’t get it to communicate with the app. I re-initialized it and it worked for a while. Now the app can’t find it.I’m now frustrated and tired of messing with it.
