I picked up the PAXCOO 803-piece grommet eyelet pliers kit for a mix of small DIY repairs and some light leather crafting, and honestly, this thing exceeded my expectations. First off, the value is hard to ignore. Getting 800 metal eyelets plus the pliers tool in one kit means you’re set up right out of the box—no scrambling to buy extras. The eyelets themselves feel solid and consistent in size (1/4 inch), which made a noticeable difference when working on thicker materials like leather and canvas. No flimsy pieces or odd sizing issues here. The pliers are surprisingly sturdy. I was expecting something a bit cheap given the price point, but they have a good grip and apply enough pressure to set the grommets cleanly without a ton of effort. Once you get the hang of positioning, the results look clean and professional. I’ve used it on fabric, tarps, and even a tool pouch, and it held up across the board. Another plus is how beginner-friendly it is. Even if you’ve never installed grommets before, this kit makes it pretty straightforward. The crimping tool that is included with this worked just fine. I would rate the crimping tool as sturdy. The tool is not heavy duty, but it is just fine for home use. I used the included eyelets to replace eyelets on my work shoes. The eyelet size is perfect for shoe laces. When using the crimping tool make sure that you have the tool centered on both sides of the eyelet. Crimping the eyelet firmly. There is no need to use both hands and squeeze the crimping tool as hard as you can. This tool works great if you use good judgment.

These are fine but not spectacular. I used them for something that involved a bungee cord and an intermediate amount of tension. They eventually fall apart and have to be replaced but they're cheap and it's easy to do so worth the price.

The grommets are a little larger than what I expected but they work great! My standard hole punch works (on paper) to make the initial hole, then all I have to do is insert the grommet face through the paper, add the washer to the back, insert the pliers, give them a squeeze, and voila! A beautiful grommet set in my mixed media work. This is a nice addition to my toolbox.

It worked okay, but I needed another tool to make the holes in the tape I use for my banners. Also, 2 of the 4 holes I made came out a little uneven and didn’t lie completely flat. I’m not sure if it was because it was my first time using it, but I wasn’t completely impressed.

Great grommet kit. I used it for my dog run with the partial shade tarps. It only had grommets on the outside edges. So I added probably 20 grommets to attach to my fencing. Worked great and the grommets feel as strong as the factory ones. It all worked great. And really quick to do it as well.

The title says it’s good for fabric but the instructions inside say it’s not. I was wanting to use it for badges. I was tempted to return it. I had a duplicate badge and thought I’d try it. Using the hole-making tool that was supplied with the kit worked well, but not by hammering it as the instructions say to do. For a badge, it worked really well to rotate the tool back and forth, applying pressure as you do, until the hole is cut. It was helpful to do this on an old magazine, where it’s easy and not a problem to cut through a little too far and not damage your table or counter. This way you can make sure you’re all the way through the badge on all sides of the hole. The tool seems fairly sharp. Putting the grommet in was really easy with the supplied tool. Glad I made this purchase.
