I love this belt- should have bought it years ago. I have been using the belts at my aqua class courtesy of the Y and it takes me about 5 minutes to find one that fits and has a clip that isn’t broken. What I really like about this belt is that the clasp is easy to use, it is simple to adjust, very secure and the actual belt not 65 inches long so no dangling. I also like how compact it is. The belts at the Y have a large back support so I was worried that the width of this belt would not give me adequate flotation. I have now used it all week at my deep water class and it is perfect. Does not rub or rise up, very lightweight and compact to take to class. I used the plastic bag it was packed in to carry it to and from class. It does not take long to dry either so no mess in the car! It is a great buy and I would buy it again. Already 2 of my fellow classmates are going to order one. One of the older members has trouble using clasps and she has tried this belt out and given it the thumbs up so suitable for all ages. Would also be great for people learning to swim. Now I just have to persuade the Aquatic Director at the Y to update his outdated collection.

I am using this in the sea water and it works perfectly. I swim into the deep with it, then I do exercises closer to the shore. Gives me added buoyancy. I put it and adjust the waist then forget it. It may slide up sometimes but that does not bother me as I usually just tighten. Allows me to float while I exercise.

Love it! I do water aerobics five days a week and was using the belts supplied by the YMCA. I couldn’t find one that I really liked so I used the best one that was there lol. Of course, other people may have grabbed it ahead of me. This one fits perfectly, keeps me nice and afloat and yet allows me the movement that I need. I love it and so did several of the other women, they will probably be buying one as they had me send them the link.👍

This belt is pretty good, but as a complete beginner in swimming I wouldn't recommend. It keeps my head above water, but just barely, I'm doing a lot of work to tread water or swim even with it. Its very light assistance. I'd also say the sizing is a bit off, I ordered a medium size, and I have it tightened as much as I can, and it still slides up my body. I even found myself wearing it around my lower ribs, just to try and stop it from sliding it up. I wouldn't attempt to practice swimming with it in that location, but for just treading it was fine. Quality appears to be good, and its easy to snap into place.

It does ride up, but you can hold it down with your hands when using it while upright in the water, and i "run" through the water (which is a lot of work - no hands needed). Probably would need to attach some sort of hip harness for water aerobics that require hands/arms. Otherwise, i have been using it while swimming. Because it helps to keep my body higher in the water. I find that i can swim longer. It is made well. My only complaint is that the two smaller foam side pieces cannot be removed like the large center piece of foam, and i wonder if that will shorten their life. Based on other reviews, i purchased the medium - if you are not slim, and/or are a male over 5'9', you probably need the large.

This is an excellent Water Aerobics Floatation Belt! It is Comfortable, Adjustable, Durable, and has a removeable foam insert. This belt keeps its shape and dries quickly. Good value for the money.

I think it works fine for someone who does not know to swim. It is not compact, and it is not great for travel, however it does the job.
