Good: they handle USB-C PD up to at least 65W, maybe higher. So they are good to charge your laptop with the appropriate cord.Good: pretty strong magnets. They will break away with just a minimum of effort, but thats the point. When you're using your computer or phone on your lap or in your hand, it stays connected. I prefer the right angle version for this.Bad: kids, drunk people, non tech-savvy people, and people in the dark before their first cup of coffee can easily destroy this item in less than 2 seconds... they will try to plug the usb-c cable into the wrong side of this adapter - into the magnet side. On the magnetic side, the contacts are little copper wires just lying against the plastic stem, which unfortunately fits just barely inside of a usb-c plug, further confusing the drunkard. Doing this even once immediately bends back some of these wires, and they're basically impossible to get back into position. Thus your $11 adapter is ruined.I accumulated quite a few of the receptacle-side parts of these adapters before I realized why the cord-side part kept breaking. I bought a whole bunch of them before I figured out how my kids were breaking them.I tried to get a picture showing the design problem. If they just made the plastic stem wider than a usb plug, then it wouldn't be possible to damage it by mistakenly plugging a usb-C cord into the wrong side.

These are great magnetic connectors, been adding them to my phone and charging locations.

I have 5 different devices (laptops, tablets, phones) that all use USB-C chargers. It's frustrating to constantly switch the same cord back and forth, thinking in the back of my mind about the wear and tear on those connectors, and wishing I had the Apple MagSafe connector instead of USB-C. Then, my cell phone fell off my magnetic mount in my car and landed on the connector with the USB-C cable still plugged into it.So I went hunting for a magnetic solution to this seemingly simple problem.Voila! Amazon had just the thing! A 2-Pack of USB-C magnetic adapters!First, the good... They work. My 65watt USB-C adapter now charges all my devices with a quick flip back and forth. The phone fell off the mount again (gotta fix that!) but the connector popped free without damage.Now the "know what you're buying" part...These are teeny tiny magnets. If you're used to plugging in your phone and holding it in your hand using the USB-C connector as a brace, fughedaboutit. Not gonna work. That magnet is going to pop off fast at the slightest pressure.Also, because these are tiny little magnets, every time you need to pop one out of the USB-C port on your phone or laptop, it's going to go flying across the room and probably get sucked up in the vacuum if you don't hunt it down FAST after you pop it free. I've already lost one somewhere in my wife's car because her cable didn't have the adapter and mine did. I pried the adapter out of my phone, it dropped between the seats, and it's hiding down there somewhere with an errant French fry or two.But if you're ready for those caveats, you'll be fine. These are a GREAT addition to my charging arsenal and I couldn't be happier.

Got these for multiple use:1) On my phone for in truck use and couldn't be happier. The magnetism works great and is solid and won't typically disconnect during a ride down the road. Have even hit potholes in my RAM 1500 as well as done some light off roads (short duration, but some decent rocks/bumps and whoops on the beach) and they hold on well.2) They allow video passthrough and high throughput as advertised, giving no issues with Android auto or Samsung Dex on my monitor at home. Can connect laptops/desktop via USB-C and still allows full refresh rate and picture to my monitor(s) that have USB-C.3) Wanted a quick way to disconnect my Extended Battery Strap on my Oculus Quest 2 from the main headset. Put a full set where battery strap connects to my Quest 2 Headset, and another quick connect in the back of the batter strap. Now I can quickly disconnect battery from the headset after they both charge so the battery isn't drained in a few night of non-use from the headset, and quickly plug-in the battery when it needs to be charged, without stressing the connectors on the battery or headset needlessly.One downside is the cost, feel like they could be a little cheaper or possibly include a third pair.One annoying thing is once you start using them, you find that you need more of one side (the side that goes on the cable, or the one that stays in the device) more than the other so that you can use the device on multiple cables and not carry each cable with you. Could be nice to get the option to mix/match how many of each side you need, so that if you already have 2 full pairs but need extra cable attachments maybe order a pack of just 2 of those (or vice versa).Overall, these work a treat for the multiple use cases I had cooked up and love the versatility. Some extra buying options might help out on less waste or buying extra pairs when you might just need one side, but he product itself works as intended and I've had no failures on 6 pairs of these on any of my use cases (included in a truck on bumpy NC roads or offroad) for 2-3 months so far.

I had bought another pair of these magnetic chargers from another manufacturer and found it odd that the other pair shipped with a nylon loop, presumably intended to use as a carrying strap, but there was no ring on the other brand through which the loop could be fastened.I ordered this brand because the pictures showed a ring on the larger end which attaches to the USB-C cable and therefore thought they would come with their own loop/strap to take advantage of that ring. Unfortunately, these shipped with no loops/straps.Between the two brands I bought, I now have one pair with rings that I use with the loops/straps that shipped with my other pair. That gives me two of four useful chargers and two that would easily get lost as there is no way to secure the cable end to the cable.
