Demineralization Cartridge Compatible with HoMedic Ultrasonic Humidifier

These seem to be working, better than nothing. The white dust that was once on EVERYTHING has significantly decreased. The size is perfect to fit into the smallest of humidifiers. Taking them out of the package you just have to soak them for a little bit and you’re good to go. I have yet to change them out and we use them nightly. Good purchase to get rid of MOST of the white dust that gets left everywhere!

These worked really well in our humidifiers. We added one blue and one brown cartridge to each of our humidifiers and changed them monthly. They really helped keep the hard water stains on the filter to a minimum. They worked better than the brand name water hardness fish that you can buy at the big box stores. Will definitely buy more of these when this box runs out.

I used the first two pellets in my humidifier last evening and ran it overnight as usual. The results were gratifying! There was hardly a trace of white dust on the humidifier itself, which had been covered before. I'm hoping these continue to work. Two weeks later: it only worked that first night; after that white dust everywhere! I have now added more pellets (8) in all and it is taking care of the white dust. So the water here is really hard, so it took this many to work. However, I’m happy that it does work!! If anyone knows of other brands that work better, please post. Thank you!

So far, so good! Only time will tell if, they fail to do what they are supposed to I will post an update! no update means they are working well. These are much cheaper in the long run over the OEM filters that fit over the inlet valve. Update 4/17/2026: Well, I don't think these filters does anything... I started to double up the amount the instruction states to use. I checked them after the use time and did not see any debris on the filters and back flushed them to see if any particles of debris was released into the clean container, again seen no changes! I would recommend a better filter around the intake port!

We have a HEPA air purifier with an air quality meter measuring particulates of 2.5, usually we have a reading of three particulates per million I believe it is, 6 hours after this has been in a cleaned humidifier we had 277 particular side of a million registering, worst I've ever seen even compared to a bad forest fire within 30 minutes of our house. I immediately thru out the water from all three humidifiers in our house along with those pellets, and I did follow the instructions of soaking them in water 10 minutes before putting them in the tank, I feel these are way too dangerous to use for air being breathed in, the odor is very faint if even noticeable, but my wife had a hard time breathing throughout the night and complained all morning, then I told her what I did to our humidifiers neither one of us could believe that was it, but it couldn't be anything else since that was the only change I did to the air in the house.The HEPA filter on the other side of the house kept ready to stream high particulates as well but unfortunately it doesn't have a meter so I don't know how bad. I turned the humidifiers off before I had a chance to throw the water out, opened the windows and turn the whole house fan on, the air quality got drastically better after that, and it's pollen on season...lol. I feel bad for the people that think this is doing them any good, I really get the impression these things are dangerous to your health.
