I hate ironing - this has saved my sanity!
I hate ironing, I cannot describe how much I despise it. I will return items that require ironing or I won’t buy them. Now, my husband loves ironing everything on 100% heat and has melted numerous items of clothing to the conventional irons we have (another reason why I hate ironing). I despise finding somewhere to put the ironing board with the kids around. I bought this lovely denim dress and after one wash it was so creased. I wanted to cry. I thought I’d give a handheld steamer a try and this has revolutionised my life. I love it. It is a bit heavy (if you aren’t used to carrying things in the air etc.) There is so much steam, it heats up so quickly and I couldn’t fault the temperature. If anything I didn’t think it would be hot enough to get the creases out of my dress. I refilled the water twice but it wasn’t hard. I have hard water so would advised using distilled if you can as the hard water already started appearing on the ceramic plate after first use. The scent thing was great, I added fabric conditioner to it and it worked a treat. It feels like a quality product and like it is an actual iron. It doesn’t fall over when you place it on a surface - I even put it on the carpet whilst I was steaming the garment. It’s not too noisy and overall for £35 I can’t complain. There are tonnes of attachments and would highly recommend.

Surprisingly Good – Glad My Wife Bought It
I recently started using the Russell Hobbs Handheld Clothes Steamer after my wife bought it, having seen a friend use it — and it has genuinely impressed us. It heats up quickly, removes creases effortlessly, and is much more convenient than setting up an ironing board. The design is lightweight, easy to handle, and simple to store, which makes it perfect for quick touch‑ups or everyday use. It’s become a really useful addition to our home, and we’re very pleased with how effective it is. Definitely worth recommending.

Excellent product
Excellent little steamer. using to steam multiple curtains. Works well, expected to have to fill often as not really for multiple curtains. Only criticism is that the filling opening is rather small so spills frequent.

Pleased
I don’t ever have a huge amount of ironing to do and I used to find it such a chore having to get out the ironing board and the iron to the point where I would avoid doing it at all costs. I hope that this would be a good alternative and now just use this for one or two items when I actually need them rather than having to do hours of ironing all at once. It’s definitely a very good alternative to ironing. It’s not as good as ironing but it will do perfectly well I have used these for jeans trousers, shirt , and T-shirts. It is very easy to use not too heavy and I’ve been perfectly happy with the result. The only wild frustration is that it doesn’t come with anything for you to hang a shirt on for example when you are using the steamer like on the back of a door which some other brands do you offer however you can buy these separate separately from off of Amazon. Overall a good good buy

Great for quick touch-ups
I bought this for clothes that don't need a full ironing session, and it's been really handy. It heats up quickly and works well on shirts, dresses and other lightly creased items. It's also much easier to use than getting the ironing board out for just one or two pieces. A useful addition if you're short on time.

Doesn’t get creases out
Disappointed about this, it doesn’t get creased out that easily from thick fabrics like jeans. It works ok on shirts and t shirts etc. I like that you can scent one of the attachments but not worth it when it doesn’t get creases out properly. Use this for a light refresh of your clothes.

Good value steamer
This is the first clothes steamer that I have used. It appears to be good quality and the attachments might come in handy. I have a disability in my arms but didn't find it heavy to hold when filled with water. The only down side I found was that I was having to refill the water tank after steaming 2 t-shirts. But that might be my inexperience of steaming clothes. For the price this is a good steamer. Don't forget to buy a steamer hanging pad/cover if you are using it on the back of a door.

Disappointing - buy an iron instead
I bought this with high hopes but unfortunately it's not lived up to them. I guess if your clothes are cheap material and full of man made fibres it works but anything high-cotton content or linen forget it. Some steamers suck (this one does) but joking aside they pull the fabric to the head while it steams. This one doesn't. I found the best way to get any result was to hold the garment high up and let the fabric drape over the head while I pulled it down. I had limited success with stuff hanging on the edge of a wardrobe and just tugging the bottom to tighten it as suggested. In fact I achieved the best results by just laying the shirt on the bed and using it as a giant ironing board, so I might as well have an iron. Also, try to doing shirt collars when it's hanging up. Impossible. In terms of the machine itself, the tank is far too small, I only managed about 5 minutes of steaming before having to fill up. I found the button to be extremely fiddly, the lock mechanism is poorly designed and it was often left locked into position meaning it was still steaming when I put it down. The thing I was most looking forward too, the aroma part was the most disappointing and is just a gimmick. It is only available with the delicate fabric head attachment (which limits the steam to a paltry puff), therefore if you want to infuse clothes with the full steam (bare) head (which is all my clothes) you can't. Either that or do it twice. I have no use for the delicate fabricate head. The fragrance infusion was laughable at best. I'll stick with it for a bit but I'm already looking at a return and vacuum steamer options.

Works very good on polyester. Other than that I wouldn’t recommend. This item actually made me appreciate ironing as it takes less time than the steamer.
