Fiji Vanua Kava Vanuatu Root Powder, Noble Lateral Sun-Dried Grind, 16oz

Definitely peppery in taste. Gets more than oily than I would've ever expected. The color of the kava is a darker hue than what I've ever seen from past kavas I've had (All Vanuatu-based), which made me oddly excited. It has a slightly slower on-set compared to everything else which hits me like a van, but this one hits me like an 18-wheeler once it's been about 5 minutes after taking the first shell! I genuinely cannot walk around without stumbling after 3 shells worth of this stuff—that's if I even care to have anymore after 2 shells which is definitely more than satisfying for me. Feels absolutely great. It's definitely more on the heavier side, but there's a lot of heady action going on too. Overall, it's well-rounded, at least to my liking. Quick shipping & delivery and the most affordable Vanuatu-based batch of kava I've ever had. The convenience of this product is absolutely unmatched. This ECLIPSES Bula Kava House's Nambawan strain, which is their strongest kava by far. It also goes completely over where Nakamal @ Home's Stone Kava would lay at for me. Any strain I've ever had, Fiji Vanua Kava's "Kava Vanuatu" strain just knocks it out of the water in more than ways one. The taste, albeit awful, is more bearable than anything else I've had so far, which is strange, but definitely welcoming. In terms of pain relief, I literally cannot feel a thing nor care about it while off it. It's effective for just about any use I can think of. The sizing (for me was the 1lb/1000g batch) is definitely perfect, especially for it's pricing. I'm a big-time kava drinker, so this would last me a good month and some change before I decide to get the next batch. Overall, this is the best product you could ever get if you're looking for a super-strong, yet affordable & convenient kava. It really can't get better than this! I'm on my second ever batch of this stuff, and I believe that I would stay a consistent customer for many months—or even years to come! // EDIT - 3/27/2025: The taste is definitely still awful and plugging my nose while drinking has slowly begun to fade in effectiveness over the course of time of me abusing this method to consume kava. So, against my own will in a way, I've started to grow used to the taste and the OVERTLY LETHAL aftertaste so now it isn't that bad anymore. Despite this, however, it still makes me fold up off the memory of how garbage this tastes, so that's a win for kava-related PTSD. Just ordered my 4th bag! No joke on the nose-plug method though. I have no idea how my body did that, but now I taste absolutely anything even with a plugged or stuffed nose. It does not matter the kava will win outright Jesus Christ

Overall Score: 9/10 I have tried a number of kava products, this is the first one I tried from Fiji Vanua, and I am very impressed just off the first cup, this kava is very sedative and strong compared to other kava products, its stronger then all other kava products I have found, its a lot stronger then the capsules even when I took a lot more then the recommended dose of the capsules, I will say tho this kava is less mood lifting then most kava products, its more sedative, but this is exactly what I bought it for so I am very happy with it, it helps a lot with anxiety and restlessness honestly I don't find much difference in the taste of the kava drink between brands, it all just tastes bitter and it numbs your mouth heavily and has even more bitter after taste and I cant cover it up with milk or sugar but they do help, sometimes I sip it over a long time and then once its like half way full I just fill it up with water again to dilute it and add some more milk and sugar, hopefully this info helps someone because I really wish I knew this stuff when I first bought kava powder I also want to note that this was only 11 dollars more expensive then the other kava powder I have bought in the past, and it was alot better, so I would say its very worth it, this is the highest quality kava product I have gotten

I really enjoyed using Fiji Vanua Kava Vanuatu Powder. The flavor is authentic and earthy, which I appreciate in a good kava. It mixes well and provides a calming, relaxing effect without being overwhelming. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it could dissolve a bit better; I found myself needing to strain it more than I expected. Overall, it’s a solid product for unwinding after a busy day, and I’ll definitely be buying it again!

-My two cents on this Kava- 1. This Strain of Kava is very potent “IF” prepared correctly! There are many ways to do this.. I’m a simple guy and don’t like to over complicate the process. 4x Cups warm water, 1x Cup Coconut Milk/Regular Whole Milk & or coconut oil with about 8 to 10 tablespoons of kava.. Poor the liquids in a decent sized mixing bowl and some in the strainer bag over the kava, start squeezing the bag for about 10/15min make sure to fully drain out all the liquid from the strainer bag. After that chug a full glass and maybe another right after.. Promise you it works great this way!! 2. The strength of effects vary based on how empty your stomach is. (I do recommend this to be done on a fully empty stomach!!) this strain of Kava is pretty hard hitting and euphoric for about a good 30 minutes or so, and then you drop down to a more mellow relaxing state with a sleepy tired feel. This is not a very energetic strain. It’s really more for relaxing in the evening. 3. I’m somewhat of a Kava connoisseur and have tried most strains out there from the better companies out there. This brand is not bad for a quick fix and fast delivery. BulaKavaHouse is by far the best Kava you can get in the US. The better the kava the more it costs, like anything else. Enjoy the euphoria! And for the folks that are new to this, kava is not addicting.

Love this product but my last shipment had a bursted bag and lost of half the product 😢

The bad: Notably more bitter and earthy than other Kava powders out there. It's also more fibrous and not as micronized. It is more difficult to incorporate into drinks. The good: Definitely potent. Immediate numbness on the tongue and the throat. Great balance between body and mind relaxation. This is probably the best Kava I've had. I would not recommend this product if you're new to Kava but once you've gotten used to the taste of more subtle kava products (try Noble for instance), try this for sure!

Good kava. Actually my preferred kind. HOWEVER.... the shipping has been sooo slow lately! As in, I ordered a bag two weeks ago, and it hasn't even shipped out yet. Its estimated delivery was three days after order, but no. Now it just keeps getting pushed back, farther and farther. I ordered a 2nd bag, just to see if it might ship quicker, but same thing. Don't advertise something as in stock with a standard delivery window if it's not in stock and won't make the delivery window. This is ridiculous!!

Best Kava product I’ve tried! It’s all in how you mix it. I tried a metal tea press and that wasn’t great. Just stick with cheesecloth bags! Wow! I can definitely say if you mix it right this stuff works. And no side effects some people have.
