Will keep it together
Great stuff for bonding two or more mediums together. Holds well and strong. Kinda permanent. Have used it for years. Much better quality than a lot of other contact cements. It’s my go to glue.

Highly Reliable Adhesive for Leathercraft and More
I’ve been using Barge All-Purpose Cement for my leathercraft projects, and it has become an essential part of my toolkit. Whether I’m working on moccasins, belts, or notebook covers, this glue consistently delivers outstanding results.Things to Keep in Mind:Ventilation is Key: The fumes are quite strong, so always use it in a well-ventilated area or wear a mask for safety.Drying Time: While it sets quickly, allowing it to cure fully (24 hours) ensures maximum strength.

Works great, easier to use and more cost effective than Shoe Goo.
This stuff works better and is far cheaper than "shoe goo". I've fixed three pairs of boots and even an automatic garlic peeler with it.

Excellent glue for rubber, cloth etc. Perfect shoe glue...
Hard to go wrong with this rubber glue. Works great on rubber, vinyl, cloth - especially on shoes and rubber tire tubes. Have used it for many years. Very, very sticky!

A real professional shoe contact cement
Barge shoe contact cement is a very professional product. I have been using different contact cements over the years and Barge has proven to be something that I continually use over and over. This quart sized can of Barge is the best price per ounce that I can get on Amazon. If the soles of a pair of shoes begins to separate, this is the way to get it repaired properly. Be sure to follow the directions completely. Make sure each surface is perfectly clean before applying the glue. Sometimes I'll use acetone or lacquer thinner on the old glue surface, applying it with a 1-in chip brush to reactivate the old glue and get it soft enough to apply new glue to. This process will allow it to obtain a solid bond between the surfaces that you are regluing. You can bond the two surfaces together but only after it's completely dry. I would probably wait a half an hour to an hour before contacting the two surfaces together with high pressure. You can use a hammer to contact it down properly or you can use a clamp to clamp them together over the length of the repair. If done properly the repair will last as long as the shoes.

works but isn't the best for MIDI soles.

Great glue
I used it for my rc 4x4 tires that had holes in them. It work great for it, it has a great hold that is not hard like most glues. Not a bad value for your money. Has a ease of removal if put on wrong. Pretty quick drying time.

Great stuff, just like I remember
I was a wardrobe dresser many years ago for broadway shows, and this was the industry standard to repair costume shoes for the shows. Recently my wife had a pair of shoes where BOTH soles completely came off while she was out on the town, not sure I wanna know what she was doing when that happened or how it happened. Anyway, found this on Amazon and said to myself “I remember this stuff” so I bought some, and the night it came, I glued the soles back on the shoes then clamped them overnight. In the morning, I had my wife try them on, and she declared good as new!!
