EDIT: LOVE THE FIT, but....they FADE faster than my Gloria Vanderbilt straight leg did. I wash in COLD water, the same way I did the Gloria Vanderbilt jeans, yet they look lighter black after much fewer washes. In fact, Vanderbilt jeans I've had for YEARS are darker than Lee's I have washed maybe five times. I only changed from Vanderbilts because they discontinued the style I liked.So knocking down to TWO STARS. I like BLACK jeans because they look dressier, but not when they look beat up and faded about a handful of washes (in COLD WATER).___________________I HAVE BEEN SEARCHING...for a replacement to the Amanda STRAIGHT LEG (they're TAPERED now) jeans by Gloria Vanderbilt. Finding a great-fitting, high-waisted pair of jeans seems like finding a pearl in an oyster...only harder.I read the reviews and wasn't sure WHAT to expect. You don't know til you try them on. They just arrived, I quickly tried them and they are comparable in fit and style to the old straight leg Amanda's I bought for years.I may even like them better! The legs fit just a tad tighter than the Amanda's but they are still straight leg (I like to wear with ankle boots with the boots in the INSIDE of the jeans). I wear with boots with a two inch heel and these seem perfect without hemming. (I am 5'4" and got the 8, I weigh about 153-155)..I am in my sixties and like a high waist, a jean that pulls you in a bit (yay, spandex!) and the bit of stretch these have, I find flattering.So if you're looking for something flattering and not interested in the skinny, low cut jeans, yet don't want jeans that look like baggy old lady jeans, these might work well :-).

I am 5'8, 157lbs, and I ordered the 10 long in the "Inspire Blue" color. I am thrilled with my purchase! My jeans hit me just above my bellybutton and hold my tummy in place. I wasnt sure if I should have ordered a long or standard, but I tried long. It stops at the floor, right at my heels. I dont mind but some people might prefer to have it shorter. The quality of the denim is sturdy and thicker than the cheaper n thinner jeans u might find at Walmart. The only weird thing was the smell (reminds me of my grandmas closet) but I love this! I will be back to buy more colors!

I am very impressed by these Lee Jeans. They are very soft and comfortable and the fit is perfect. I bought a size 8 which was a tad bit large (8 usually runs small in other jeans) but still felt great. Being middle-aged, I didn't want low riders, I wanted something that would enhance an older woman's figure. These jeans actually make me look slim and sleek. I am going to flip them inside out to wash them (keeps the color nice) and edit this at a later date to see how they held up. There is a little room to shrink but I doubt they will. Lee's usually hold their shape well. The straight legs are not tight at all which is nice if you wear boots or Uggs, it does not outline their shape and look silly and also looks good tucked in! The jeans also look nice with heels! I never buy jeans online unless they are Lee or Levi, otherwise I have try them on. Lee's are reliable when it comes to the sizes. Find your favorite pair and Amazon will keep your favorites in your orders to refer to later! Thanks Amazon!

I have worn Lee Riders all my life, I'm now 47 years old. I tend to buy two pairs and wear them until they're totally worn out before buying another couple pairs. I have always worn size 6 petite which fit perfectly everywhere but are a little on the loose side, which I like. I usually keep a size 4 petite on hand as well which fit me just a little more snuggly though are not tight. My size 6 wore out completely so I decided to order them online which I'd never done. I decided to be on the safe size and order a size 8 petite since I did not want them tight. I feared they might be too big and I'd have to return them. To my shock, they are WAY too small in the thighs and WAY to big in the waist. I held them up to my size 6 petites and the thighs of the size 8 are much smaller (in fact they're smaller than my size 4 petites) and the waist is huge, it bulges out about two inches in the back. So they've completely remade their jeans so that I can no longer wear them. If I go up another size so they fit in the thighs, the waist will be so huge that I could probably pull them over my hips without unbuttoning them. If I go down a couple sizes so the waist will fit, I'll never get them over my hips. What a joke! These are shaped for a man! I'm not a man! I'm curvy! My old size 4's and 6's fit perfectly everywhere, they fit over my hips and curved in to lie smooth against my waist with no bulge in the back. So I'm returning these and wearing my old size 4's until they wear out. I don't know what I'll do then. I'm so disappointed. Maybe I'll add some pictures later, showing how they compare to my size 4's and 6's.

Your ingenious stretch blend & ideal waist placement delivers a slimmer look the moment I put these on. The fabric was designed with comfortable holding power & a hidden, slimming tummy panel. Until I sat down. Usually, advertised tummy panels do not work. They still have an amount of stretch to them that only slightly camouflages the mommy gut. But not your jeans! As soon as I sat down I felt like I had a book down the front of my pants. And my stomach fat flew up and over the top creating a perfectly executed muffin. If only these jeans were two inches higher in the rise, I wouldn’t mind the pending fungal infection in my belly button. And as a side note, I’m not sure you can have a straight leg that is also relaxed. It feels like I’m being cut in half at the top, and everything else is flying free down below.

I have bought this brand for years and always the same style...something had happened in the quality of this product. The fabric is thinner than it used to be, the fabric is looser and there is a white streak that runs down the seam on my inner thigh. What used to be a wonderful product, has turned into something I will never buy again and will probably donate instead of wear

I bought these jeans in good faith they are not authentic lee jeans,they have had a label ironed in with a lee tag stapled on the side.i got the wrong size sent the quality is poor the buttons are hard to fasten I could go on and on.

I’m a size 8/10 fit is excellent, I’m 5.3 should have picked reg leg length went for short, wear them turned up which works.. but will definitely get regular next time.

Bought Lee jeans as I had previously loved this make. Will be keeping them but the weight of the material is not as great as it used to be, very thin.I have given them 3 stars because of the fit of the jeans, not the quality of the material

5' 3" Size 32 waist.Took me a long, long time to find reasonably priced jeans that fit in the right places and is good quality. This is it. Material good - not flimsy, colour rich indigo.Only slight snag, which is why I put it under moderately small, is that it isn't as high in the waist as I would like and could be an inch longer. Maybe should have gone for long and turn up to my taste. Love it though.

Wow these are good, I like the dark colour and next time I'll get a lighter blue for contrast. Right size, short is the right length for me at 5'3" . Now I just need to be able to go out to enjoy wearing them.
