we bought this to upgrade our router in the office, I'm impressed with the cisco firewall that's built into this and staff and visitors cannot access dodgy websites :)

So, upside of this router - quite functional for basic internet home router. Zyxel issue regular firmware updates too. Bad side - the configuration UI is very buggy. Expect to see error messages without any explanation. I found this particularly annoying that with guest networks - you can actually set different SSIDs on 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz, however you cannot have one set with WPA3 and the other WPA2. They must be the same or equivalent encryption. Nothing helpful to tell you this but you'll have a non-specific error if you try and do otherwise.

Was a little dubious due to other feedback, however I am an IT professional and have always liked Zyxel kit.This little router was fairly straight forward to setup and took me around 10 mins start to finish, wifi coverage is fantastic even better than my expensive Draytek router, even my internet speeds went up around 2 mbs compared to the old router I had (not sure this is due to the router though might be just one of those things).Only problem I had was I entered quite a complicated password for wireless connectivity and found I had difficulty connecting anything wirelessly, so I changed this to the default password and everything worked flawlessly. I have now upgraded the firmware to the latest and will retry setting a more complicated password and see how it gets on.But all in all brilliant little router especially for the money.

I bought this router to work with my broadband provider as they charged for routers and I wanted a router which was WiFi6 and better security. It was not as straightforward as I thought to set up but I did manage to do it. Once it was working I can say I am extremely happy with my router. The range is pretty good for a router of this price. And there are lots of features. As well as Internet phones supported by this router overall a easy 5 stars from me.

the UK power plug does not click onto the power supply unit (the EU one does) and falls off. Not safe to be connected to the UK mains.

Supplied by my ISP. Forces uppercase, numbers and symbols in passwords. I don't need my router to be my nanny and dictate what password complexity I get to use.I don't like this trend of companies enforcing misguided security standards. What, I can't use a 16 digit random lower case password because you think 8 characters with a symbol is better? Give me a break.

I had a previous version vmg1312 from my provider but wanted the upgrade and saw it also had WiFi 6.Worked as expected and has lots of tweaks to the modem/router.Happy with the item and the vectoring has improved the speed just a little.
