Car Sound Deadening Mat, 197 Mil 8.7 sqft Sound Deadener

For $14 for 8.7 square feet, this was more than enough to cover the important parts of the trunk of my 944. You DON'T need a roller to apply this, just strong hands and a well prepped surface. I vacuumed, lightly washed, then used 90% alcohol to clean the surface before applying. I could have used more and covered every inch, but there is diminishing returns in doing so (especially on a budget, or with a lower wattage sound system in my opinion). If this stuck as well as it did for me in a 45° garage, then it should stick just fine for you too. I will say, it is a little cheap feeling, but for the price I can't complain. There is an audible difference when knocking on the panels this material is applied to. I'm not a professional though, and if you're an audiophile, there are better options (but prepare to empty your wallet). Not sure I would do an entire vehicle with this material, but it is a great supplement.

Nice, cost effective material. It stuck nicely to the door and was fairly easy to use. The grid marks on the back made it easy to cut. I would not rank it up with other materials in sound and heat isolation, but it did cut down the overall vibrations on the door panels and I did not feel heat immediately from the floor area as i did with bare metal. If you are working with a budget and want modest improvement, this material will work well over most stock materials.

I bought this on a whim to go with some Kilmat sound deadener. It is not thick, but definitely made the truck even quieter. The Kilmat takes out the vibrations and resonating noise, the foam takes out the echo you might say.

Great upgrade for my Durango – sticky, effective, and looks sharp (with a couple minor shipping notes) I had to replace my old heat liner after it got damaged by a pressure washer, so I decided to step up to this sound and heat deadening material. Overall, I’m really happy with the upgrade! What I love: • It looks much better cosmetically than my previous liner — clean, professional finish that makes the engine bay (and interior spots) look upgraded. • Extremely sticky with excellent adhesion that stays put. • Strong heat resistance and noticeable improvements in both heat dispersion and noise reduction. The cabin is quieter and stays cooler. • Perfect fit for my Durango project. Great value for the performance. Minor issues: The only real downside was shipping damage — every piece arrived with a crushed/damaged corner. This material is also very stiff once bent, so it doesn’t unbend easily and I had to work around the damaged spots during install. I wish the sheets were a bit larger too, but I made it work. Despite the arrival condition, this is a solid product. I’d buy it again and recommend it for anyone doing sound/heat deadening on a Durango or similar vehicle. Great value and noticeable results!

Always good, big deadening sheets,very easy to peel,set up made the sound way better knowing is thicker than other ones , specially if making your own speaker box works perfect

Not as thick and not as sticky as others i have used. You get what you pay for. The killmat i paid quite a bit more for it definitely thicker denser and overall a lot better, that being said this deadening mat you get a lot more mat for you money I measured it with calipers this MATT was about 1.5 mm versus the killmat ones about 2.0mm i can definitely feel the weight difference in the Mats. I ended up using a second layer on the parts. I really wanted a good deadening on with this MATT. so if you want more coverage, it’s not a bad option.

These were perfect for what I needed them for. I have a Honda Fit that, by the factory, has near no sound insulation and is terribly loud when driving down the road. These were thick enough to be effective but not so thick that it kept my interior trip panels, headliner and console from obstructing them from going back on. The pill-and-stick feature was easy and fast. The paper backing was not only easy to remove but gave a surface to draw on when transferring over a pattern to cut out. Plus, they cut super easy with a good pair of all-purpose scissors, not once clogging up the blades with adhesive residue. The adhesion also seemed super strong even on the underside of my roof sheet metal. After using these over a good portion of the inside of my car, concentrating above the exhaust, the firewall and the roof sheet metal, my car is not only much quieter, but it now also gives the impression of a more solid driving car. I wasn't expecting that and it was a bonus. If you have the knowhow and time to take apart an interior to get to the car's interior sheet metal. I highly recommend these stick-on insulators. But I cant give feedback on engine compartment or outside of the interior use. I have no experience if they'll hold up to direct heat or moisture.,... For what I used them for.... 5-stars all the way

We have a metal utility sink in our pantry/laundry room which I use to clean pots and pans. The noise was so loud I knew I needed to do something. I discovered these stick on sound deadening mats and I put them on the sides, back and bottom of the sink. They have reduced the sound quite a bit, it doesn’t bother us so much when we’re cleaning. It was easy to install and made such a difference.

Great to insulate floor pan on my car. Delivered on time and item as expected.

The Mat is very light not as expected

Works well. Easy to apply. Achieved a significant noise reduction in my work van and even the insulating factor to keep the cold out is an added bonus.
