Slug deterrent - only one part of a strategy
Slugs have been running (?) crazy over our mushroom logs devouring pinning mushrooms. We lost several crops. Isolation, sawdust and beer traps did not stop the onslaught. The beer traps filled with drunken slugs (great metal band name?), but more dined on the mushrooms first, then went for the deadly brew.We taped the bottom of our logs with Freely copper foil tape. Tape adhesion is strong and waterproof - a necessary condition when soaking logs for forced fruiting. The foil has the added bonus of being used to identify the strain of mushroom. The 1" width is a good - doesn't cover too much potential fruiting area. Our results were mixed. When dry, the tape really does deter the slugs. But when wet they quickly slide over the tape to feast on mushrooms. We're now considering tenting the logs to keep them dry on the A-frame. We anticipate effective use for this summer season, but probably will have to apply a new band next season as tarnished copper is no longer effective against slugs. Any savings cleaning the bands is offset by the time to do so (with spotty results) vs a fresh application at reasonable cost.

Pretty Good
I bought this for shielding and circuit reasons via the Amazon seller Freely Incorporated. It was packed and packaged well. With an ohm meter I tested the adhesive and there is conductivity. I measured total thickness with my cheap calipers and while I could not get an exact read it does seem to be close to what they claim (thicker than other offerings). It conforms well to uneven surfaces, the adhesive stuck well in my tests and the backing paper peels off fairly easily. The quarter inch roll is a little hard to handle once unwrapped (wants to uncoil a bit) but this is to be expected due to the small size. It is worth noting the price for this product has increased substantially since my purchase. I intend to test soldering and the heat resistance of this product and will update with results.

Excellent value for 2 mil (.002" thickness) Copper tape
I bought a roll of this tape to repair and modify printed circuit boards, and it worked as expected. One of my peeves when shopping for this was that many sellers are cryptic about the exact details of these products, like the actual copper thickness. The first thing I did when this arrived was cut a piece from the roll, remove the backer and then completely removed the glue layer with an appropriate solvent. This allowed me to measure the actual thickness of the copper layer. To my surprise, it was .002" (2 mils) thick, twice what many of the lower-prices tapes measure. I'd encourage the seller to include this detail in their specifications (and verify that dimension on every new lot of copper tape before selling it).A couple of notes on using this tape for electrical/electronic applications:1) The glue is conductive, but don't count on it or use it as a current carrying element. The glue may be acceptable for overlapping in a Faraday box, but NOT for current carrying connections.2) This copper tape solders well, but works best with an adjustable temperature iron. Keep the temp as low as possible while still producing good joints. he tape is thin enough that higher temperatures can damage the tape (learned the hard way). TIP: When soldering two tapes together, you can get a much nicer looking joint by using a flux pen (No clean flux, preferably)to apply a thin stripe of flux on the joint. Not too much, or it will run where you don't want it (try this on scraps first). Solder will flow first wherever you apply the flux, as long as you don't over-solder the joint.3) The glue on this tape is average for this type of product. When you solder to this tape, the glue WILL melt, and if you solder the same spot repeatedly, it WILL lose its holding power. The end of a strip can move while soldering, so be quick and careful--another good reason to use a minimalist solder approach.Overall, this is a great product and for what it is the price is more than fair. Quit reading reviews and buy it!D.

Dahlias: 10, Slugs: 0
I'm in the Pacific Northwest and our slugs are jumbo sized with a voracious appetite for dahlia shoots. I cut the top and bottom off an empty, clean tub of something I bought at the grocery store--I find salsa and sour cream tubs to be the perfect size, but yogurt tubs work in a pinch--and voila! copper rings that are tall enough to discourage a casual grazer.Works like a charm.

Perfect for making Jewelry and DIY Projects !!!!!
I recieved the package in perfect shape. The copper tape is not hard to separate from the paper back .The back is sticky but notcrazy sticky .Just enough for the copper tape to stick well to the crystals with a little pressure .Love that it comes in the 2 separate sizes to use , if you need to cut the Copper Tape, its perfectly okay to do so.It cuts easy and it doesn't interfere with the stickiness of the copper tape .I will be buying more of this in the future !!!Great price ,Great Product !!!

A Garden Slug Product That Works!
My garden fruits/veggies are in very large pots on my huge patio. I have a slug problem at my home and since I put this copper tape around the INSIDE of the 20” pot, the snails do not cross that line of tape. It works! And the adhesion of the tape is strong too. I was going to put fresh, new tape on some of my garden pots and that stuff STICKS. The old tape has been on my pots for two years and still works though. Effective product.

Excellent quality tape with excellent results
I purchased this shielding tape to reduce the RF noise on a cheap Fender Mexican Stratocaster I recently purchased. When I removed the pick guard I had discovered there was zero foil shielding of any type. The cavity was simply sprayed black. I was pleased at the amount of copper conductive tape I received with my order. The combination of thin and thick tape rolls were plenty to cover the entire body cavity of this guitar, as well as the bottom of the pick guard, with lots left over for the next guitar. The thin roll allowed me to shield all the tight spaces around the corners and ground wiring. To begin, I simply vacuumed the guitar cavity to remove dust and debris, then wiped it down with a damp cloth. The copper tape adhered perfectly to the wood cavity and plastic pick guard. Overall, my work shielding this guitar with this copper tape was pretty much effortless.
