I just this set to repair my braided rugs. The waxed thread is very sturdy and long lasting. The larger curved needle makes it easy to sew the wool together.

Love most of the items in this kit. The thread is strong and nicely waxed (beginners view point, mind you), the color selection is quite accurate with the image, I've used it on several projects and it looks really nice and holds strong. The needles are quite strong, and seem good quality, I've used the awl several times and it works fine, although the metal gives me the impression it might rust soon; time will tell. The sewing/piercing tool seems to be made out of another metal, seems better quality. The ferrules are really crappy, the grip tiny, but useable.

I purchased this product in hopes of repairing the side door of my 2015 Ford Explorer. The plastic seam had split and it was pricey to have the panel replaced (which is the professional opinion option) so I got creative. For $12 I got a quick fix that is unnoticeable if you aren’t looking closely. I am quite pleased with the materials as the threading was strong, didn’t fray, and the wax coating made manipulation easier when the thread was going through the plastic. The needles I used were incredibly strong, which was a relief as I was afraid the needle would break trying to get it through tougher plastic material. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the end result and with proper sewing technique, this is a quick fix that’s cheap and effective!

Very good kit for the price. The needles are nice and strong and the thread is high quality. I've repaired backpacks, oven mitts and various leather projects with them with zero issues. I've primarily used them to make tool roll totes out of canvas. I've made a roll for all my sharpening stones, open ended wrenches, screwdrivers and pliers and more. Very strong thread that holds tight and makes very nice looking projects. Nice variety of needle sizes and shapes for just about any project. Highly recommended.

Such a great tool, everyone should own one! I bought this because I had bought an expensive backpacking canvas chair that was 80% off due to have a small tear at one of the seams. I figure it would be an easy fix, & indeed it was! I used one of the big needles to push through the canvas and sew it right up. I have also used it for fixing a backpack strap. Super easy to use & saves tons of money! Why buy new items when you can mend your old ones?!

Nice little kit, quality is questionable. One needle bend on the first hole and the cord broke 1.5” in on a 3” section I was sewing. Positive side, the awl worked very nice.

This kit is a great little kit. I bought this recently to fix a pair of leather sandals my girlfriend bought. Unfortunately the manufacturer wouldn't help us even though they broke a few weeks into having them. But have no fear I am really handy with things and figured it would be easy for me to replace the fabric strap on the buckle. This obviously came with many more tools than I needed for this job but I figured I might want to do some leather working in the future. The tools all seem well built and the string also very nice quality. I am so far happy with this.

The arrangement of needles and sizes is great! The thread itself is super strong too. The arm rest part of my door had started to come apart. Everyone I called either could make no guarantees, or told me to buy a new door which was just not a viable option for me. I took a risk and decided to try my hand at stitching it! It is by no means perfect looking compared to factory looks... but it got the job done and is still acceptable looking to the eye! Way better than the whole thing coming apart and foam falling out! We used one of the round needles for this project. I also used this to stitch the arm straps back onto my husbands camping backpack that was tearing at the seams and starting to fall off. The thread was strong enough to withstand a decent amount of weight in the backpack during his last camping trip. We are very pleased with the product, especially given the low price!
