Can this be installed on a closet sliding door?

I don’t think so since it has to hook over the top of the door. Sliding doors are encased in a railing on top so there is no place for the hook to attach.

Does it come with longer hooks? I'm short, may not be able to reach top section. Do not mind it being lower to the ground.

No, it comes with the standard hooks. I'm only 5 ft tall. I used them ok.
