Very good
This stuff is great as an alternative to liquor like gin. It has its own unique flavor. I drink it straight over ice or with a little mixer but it isn't very strong to my taste. Has a resemblance to gin with bitters.

A good Vodka alternative for mixers
In trying to reduce vodka drinking I looked for alternatives that still had a taste sensation and wasn't overpowered by the mixer. Straight vodka has no true flavor in mixers so its a tough ask. This has a spice flavor that comes through ensuring you can tell the difference between regular mixer and the addition of Seedlip Spice 94. I think its a bit expensive for a 750ml bottle, priced as high as mid level to upper vodkas. But it definitely is a great solution to use to reduce alcohol intake. I filled a high end vodka bottle with this and had it on bar. A few persons used this for their drinks and none had any idea it was alcohol free. Two people said it had a nice taste and said they'd like to order. At that time I did have to tell them what was in the bottle. They were very surprised. So I vote for it.

Overpriced. Overwhelming allspice/anise flavor. Just make your own from the spice/produce aisle.
This was undrinkable for me. I found the flavor of allspice or anise overpowering. And I love black licorice and black jellybeans. I mixed it with soda water, and even stepped down to a 1oz. pour. I had to wash my glass to remove the smell, to go to a different drink. I checked into returning it, which you can't, and reached out to Seedlip to see if they could do anything. I had the half-hearted expectation that they would see their way to sending a different flavor, like the Garden 108 (2-star for me). They didn't have any interest in a credit or exchange (which I didn't really expect) and replied with a bit of boilerplate. I'm stuck with a bottle I won't drink, and am too cheap to pour it down the drain🙂. If you could find a decent NA red wine, you might use this to make sangria, or sub it for Galliano in a mocktail. It is a big "No" from me... Other than the off-putting flavor, my main objections to this are the cost, and the bottle size. I don't know why they've opted for a 700ml bottle instead of a standard 750ml, but it seems like a philosophy of "shrinkflation" before there was anything to shrink. I find the cost of this product second only to its flavor as prohibitive flaws. The $31 for this bottle puts you in the neighborhood of the price range of some very decent spirits, for which you'd receive a larger bottle. If you're avoiding alcohol, I would just go to the produce section instead.

Not good flavor, not good in cocktails
I ordered this as a gin replacement, but it doesn't taste like gin, or any other alcohol I could name. It tastes like water with an interesting blend of autumnal spices. I've tried Ritual non alcoholic gin replacement before, and was impressed at how they made it thicker than water, and with a bit of a burn like alcohol. This Seedlip stuff is much more watery, and the spices, while interesting, aren't very good on their own and don't mix well in most cocktails I tried. Very bad with tonic water. The only cocktail I found that it went well in was an espresso martini, but I had to use a bit of kahlua for that one, so it wasn't truly non alcoholic, which is most of the point. I wish I'd tried the Garden 108 Seedlip, which looks a little closer to gin flavor? This doesn't taste good and isn't good in most cocktails. I am very glad there are non alcoholic options, though, and encourage the company to keep trying various flavor combinations.

Adult Beverage for Non Drinkers
I will admit that Seedlip (Spice) is expensive. Since I haven't had a drink since 1995, I'm a little out of touch with the prices of gin and vodka; but I imagine that it's comparable to the cost of premium gins and vodkas. The taste is interesting. I use about 1 1/2 oz with half a 10 oz bottle of tonic and a squeeze of lime. Reminds me of a gin/tonic or vodka/tonic. It has a hint of a taste of bitterness and also lemony. You don't really need to acquire a taste for it. You'll either like the pleasantness of it or dislike it because it doesn't taste like a mixed alcoholic drink. I have to find the recipe book I saw mentioned by someone so I can try different drinks.

Makes the best mocktails!
I was in an AMEX lounge with a speakeasy. Not wanting to drink too much alcohal before flying I asked the bartender if she could make me a mocktail. She said that she could make an alternate version of one of the cocktails on the list and suggested a citrus based one. The drink was sooooo delicous. I've ordered quite a few mocktails in the past but this one was far superior. I asked what the non alcohalic spirit was and took a picture of the bottle so I could try and duplicate it at home. I came up with my own calculations on how much of each ingredients and the results at home were just as delicious. My version of the speakeasy's Southside Cocktail: Pluck a bunch of mint leaves and add them to a cocktail shaker Squeeze a half a lemon add a shot of the Seedlip Spice 94 Muddle the mint into the liquids add ice and shake strain into a glass with ice and top off with tonic Add a lemon slice for garnish muddle the mint into

spice = Fabulous! garden = OK
Spice: This stuff is fabulous! I don't miss gin at all when I'm drinking this. I like it mixed with sparkling water, but it's excellent in anything I've tried. Highly recommended! Garden: I had hoped for a floral aroma, but it's much more vegetable. Not good on its own like the spice is. OK mixed with a sweetened tonic water. I recommend the Spice instead.

Not even worth the effort of putting into a drink (Spice 94)
I would have loved to like this product, there just isn't anything there. I many of the suggested ways to drink this, but it was either tasteless or overpowered by what I mixed with it. When mixed with ginger-ale, it at most tasted like the ginger-ale had maybe been flavored with cloves. I think sprinkling some cloves on the drink would have had about the same effect. When using soda, the taste of even the ice overpowered it as it was. It's surprisingly not even particularly aromatic, I struggle to get a whiff of it when smelling the open bottle. It is tasteless and boring. It does not change the drink it is poured into, simply adds just a barely noticeable hint of flavor. Not worth the effort of putting into a drink let alone paying the high price for it. On top of this, it wasn't sealed particularly well when I received it and had leaked (only a little) into the packaging.

Una valida alternativa, speziata e analcolica! ! ! !
