Rogue Hoe 6 Inch Steel Triangle A Blade Fire Trail Hoe with Hickory Wood Handle

The 60A arrived early, neatly packaged, and in excellent condition. It’s a great tool with strong welds and a larger diameter handle for better grip when wearing gloves. It’ll be particularly useful for cutting handline during wildland fires. This versatile tool will make short work of challenging tasks.

Although not a true grape hoe, it works extremely well for removing sod; comes very sharp and with a beautiful, curved, sanded smooth, finished hickory handle. Also cuts through roots easily. Not as heavy as hoes made for sod cutting but it's a little more versatile since one can go from cutting sod to cutting through roots in one motion. I used it to cut out new vegetable gardens; the lighter weight (but not too light) and high quality blade made it a breeze and easier on my back. Made in the USA, they say from recycled farm implements. The price is remarkably low for such a great tool I don't know why anyone would ever by a similarly priced Chinese piece of junk or lower quality more expensive Italian one.

I didn't tell my husband that I had ordered this. He came home from a run and saw it and automatically said that it would be great for trail work! We are runners and belong to a club and we clean up park trails as volunteer work among other things. Should have got two. I'm a bare foot runner so do most yard work bare foot. I WILL be wearing shoes using this one though and I don't think it will join all the other numerous hoes on the dead hoe pile soon. I was either repairing or throwing away hoes constantly working in my own gardens and a broken tool will set you back the rest of the day. I'm only 5'2" and weigh 115lbs. So this will be easier to use than my 8 lb. maul. Will make for great ab work as well as upper body while I clean my gardens of the wretched crab grass. My Renter, friend and neighbor took one look at it and said "WICKED! Hope you never aim that at me! " LOL. I love the quality steel and it actually has beveled edges that aren't going to mess around! Love it! My other little hoe that I love and is a light hoe and you can't find them in the average home and garden dept. is the 'winged hoe" Handy for delicate work up close to the plants.

Oh man is this thing a serious tool! It did through the toughest hard clay! It cuts through roots like they aren't even there. Watch out for your sprinkler lines because it'll go through them too! I love this tool! It had saved me a lot of sweat! It is expensive, but worth the price! Well built, and it won't let you down.

this is an awesome, heavy-duty hoe that is suitable for multiple tasks. the handle may feel a little too short but it actually is the right length for the weight of the steel hoe.

You know those thick clumps of solitary weeds you want to get rid of...the ones that have roots that go to china...well this does the job. I'm a 63 yr old petite woman and was afraid the tool would be too heavy for me...but it surprised me by being light and easy to swing. The head does all the work and since it's easy to maneuver I don't get worn out using it. Every woman should have one of these. My next project is clearing out my raised bed garden as it has become compacted and overrun with vines. The edge comes sharpened and I used my file to resharpen it after I was done. I'm thrilled as it's hard to buy some products online and get exactly what you wanted/needed but this one is a winner!

This is a neat tool with a great design. It stands up on the flat bottom when you take a break. The tool has a good balance and I think the all around weld in the middle of the blade makes it extremely durable. My favorite tool in the past has been a pulaski, which is an axe with a hoe on the other side (similar to a pickaxe) But this tool might be better. The blade is sharp and cuts very agressively. The overall weight of the tool gives it a lot of momentum which does most of the work for you-one possible negative if you are carrying this tool any distance. The handle is very thick and of high quality. I like that where it meets the blade socket it is square. I feel like this would help it from rotating within the socket like most circular handles. This reduces stress on the joint. I can turn over a flower garden in no time with this tool. It is my new favorite for yard work.

From a novice gardener but capable handy-man: The curved handle is comfortable and the wood is smooth and provides good grip. The steel head is weapon-like: rocky-rooty dirt stands no chance against a capable wielder of this fine tool. The two edges of the steel head are very functional and I found myself using the small side. It is not awkward to use the small side; i was expecting the hoe to be more unwieldy with the wider edge reversed in non-use, but this was not so. Hoeing with the small edge is comfortably acceptable. I would imagine that when or if I need to do relatively large scale land work, this dirt-annihilating hoe will be an adequate choice.
