I own almost identical looking pot holders, just different generic brand and color. This is way thinner than the one I already own. The other one I have, it is great against super hot dish, but even that one I can start feeling a little bit of heat if I hold it for awhile. This one I'm afraid heat will pass through the thin layer way fast. I won't be using this unfortunately. Cute color though.

The description claims these are anti-skid and they're nothing of the sort. Yes, the gripping sides are "ribbed" but the ribbed surface has no inherent holding power, so holding a smooth plate or dish is not reassuring -- you need to grip extra tightly to avoid having it slip out of your hand. A proper gripping surface isn't be hard to make (we have full-sized oven mitts with them); why does nobody use it on these smaller holders?!

Little but mighty!! Bought to take the pot out of our Instant Pot! Great invention.
