Great for making okonomiyaki!
I bought this for the okonomiyaki party I was having for our family after our trip to Japan. The product works well in our recipe and tastes great. I think it's a little pricey for buying a bag of "tempura dripping leftovers", but my recipe doesn't call for a lot to be mixed into the batter so the bag should last for awhile. The Tenkatsu has a slight seafood odor, but it isn't unpleasant.

Tastes ok
These are very hard to come by so it's hard to compare. When I put them in my Okonomiyaki, it tasted "ok". I think it tasted better when used as a topping instead. If I had to compare the taste, I'd say it tastes like a shrimp flavored crumbled cracker. Not too thrilled for the price however.

Great, exactly what I was looking for
So, there's this korean brand nongshim that makes udon with these little tempura balls. It's a bit too salty for me but I love these things so I bought this to throw in with different udons and it's exactly what I wanted. Awesome in asian soups. It's probably fine to eat solo as well, they have a light shrimp flavor.

Nothing compares
We thought these were a bit expensive, but all similar items were vastly different and completely inferior. If you need tempura bits, these are the only ones you'll want...and I need to order more again... I suggest getting at least two bags per order.
