High quality, but a little too long for my skill level. 16" is better for beginners.
2025 12 8: I bought the one that is 16" long and loved it so much (red and black in the pic), I thought I would love this one even more! And while the quality is just as high, and does not easily break, my skill level is probably not what it should be to enjoy this to the full. If you've never had one before, I'd start out with the 16" one. (Don't go smaller than that, the really small ones are more like party favors, and probably would not take the bending and pushing that the 16" will take.) My family has spent many hours playing with the 16" one and they are super cool. But the longer one - THIS ONE, (red and white in the pic) is a little long and difficult to maneuver. If you have already had the 16" one and are ready for a bigger challenge, you might like it. But for kids under 10, might just be frustrating, and they'll lose interest quickly. I would say this item is fun for age 9 to 99. (Oh, I mean the 16" one is for all ages.)

it squeaks after a while but it is holding up
kids love it, they can do more shapes, and seems to hold good in the hands of two kids... it does squeak...

The magic snake cube with patterns must do !
I used to have a smaller one. I would like more of the patterns available to make that aren’t on the insert. I made a couple today and will work on it more.

Not Always “Brand New”
This product was sold as “new” yet it was out of the box and very loose. The looseness causes it to not hold shape very well, it was definitely not brand new. I did buy a second one at the same time, however, which was new, in the box and much tighter and durable.

Good quality, but not for my kids
The product is well-made but I found it just too difficult to manipulate. The pieces turn easily enough but the toy is so big that it gets unwieldy. I ordered these for a road trip but my kids played with them once and didn't pick them up again. I played with it myself for a while but the toy was just too big for close quarters.
