Plant's Show and Tell
I found this to be a useful addition to add to the several plant ID guides I already have, e.g. Peterson Guides, (not one guide can do it all). This book uses practical, useful photographs, such as those of leaf configurations, in identifying plants. I bought this book as 'used-good.' The lower price made this an affordable addition to my established set of guides..

What is this plant? Now you have the answer.....
I love this book! Like a massive catalog of all plants, their parts and what makes each one different from all the others. Good photographs for identifying, excellent line drawings to explain in further detail. Size and weight mean this book is not first choice for a field guide, but rather a reference to come back to when you are done for the day and can sit down and take some time. Highly recommend.

Better than digital!
When I first spotted this radiant tome in the New York Botanical Garden's bookshop*, I was beside myself with glee and revelation at the ingenuity of some of us humans; especially, in this case, Mr. Castner. What a wonderful reference tool! But wait, it's also concise course in botany, the perfect (well, nearly so as it is a rather large book) field guide, and a stunning visual joy! Who needs clunky and complicated apps when this beautifully arranged and illustrated atlas is the ark of the convenient of botanical reference.*I am not ashamed to admit that, upon discovering this title at the shop, I went and ordered it through Amazon.com.

Excellent book! So glad i purchased.
Other than how the book is put together. This book is amazing. My husband is a biology major with a focus in plant studies. He's used in multiple classes. I love plants and always looking through it. The pictures are excellent the info is more than trustworthy and reliable. Buy it! An awesome purchase.

Photographic Atlas of Botony
I bought this book as a gift for my nephew who is in his first year of college studying botany and holistic medicine. I had it shipped to me so I could look at it before I sent it to him. The book is heavy but that's because the pages are made of a good thick quality paper. The photo's are nice and clear and colorful. I feel confident that he is going to love this book.

Great reference for learning to ID plant families
This book is AWESOME. We used this book in my botany lab, and I loved it so much I decided I needed my own copy. Very detailed info! I only wish it had even more families!!

Just what my husband wanted.
My husband is working on his Native Plant certification and wanted more than a gardening plants book. This one is just perfect.
