Will this work on a Kala Ubass?

If it has a strap button on the bottom it'll work, the small leather piece will go around the headstock. However it might be a little long for a ukulele

Where is this manufactured?

I'm not 100% sure. It's real solid, wherever it's made. It might be from the USA as leather stuff usually isn't made in China. But usually if something is from the USA, the seller will flaunt that and make sure you know it. I don't like getting stuff from China, but if this is, than it's really good quality. Feels American, possibly not.

I don't like metal parts on a strap , yet my only concern since the leather ends are longer than most will they cause any issues on a small acoustic?

I personally wouldn’t leave leather against a wood body.

Is it just me or the strap is really long. Even at its shortest, it is relatively low.

If thats a question then I would say its at a good length. Im 5'2 and it even works on someone thats 5' and 6'. In other words, it can be both long and short because it really adjustable

Does what is required

Works fine on my resonator, which requires the strap to tie around the neck. This strap provided two options, a shoestring and a strap button. Added bonus is a pair of silicone strap locks. Feels comfortable and secure holding the 10+ pound brass resonator. Great price when I bought it as well.

Ok strap, plastic buckles and narrowness of strap not for me

This strap is just ok. I have 3 other straps to compare too and I like the wider cloth straps with the manual adjustments that are cloth - leather instead of the buckles, which I did not realize until I got this one. This one is only about 2" wide, and the buckles that allow adjustment are plastic and will hit against the guitar when putting it on and taking it off. Of course the pictures clearly disclose this so really, the item is as described, its just not a great strap because it is not wide and because it has plastic buckles. To see what I mean, see this strap which has the adjustments in leather as part of the strap itself: Planet Waves Basic Classic Leather Guitar Strap, White I have the black version of that one and its just better . . . .
