Energizer Advanced Lithium AA Battery 4 Pack

This is not a type of battery found in the "big-box" stores in my area. This is a specialty product not easily found. However, Amazon knows exactly where these can be acquired - and at a good price - and with a fast delivery.This Lithium battery arrived in a few days and was delivered with a December 2024 (yes, 2 0 2 4 ) date code. It is a 10 year battery (when used in low current draw environments like found in a smoke detector). In addition to long life, Lithium offers one other advantage - it maintains more of its power in cold temperatures than normal alkaline batteries. This is why I purchased it.I recently got a "driveway motion sensor". This device sits on the mailbox at the mouth of our driveway and transmits a signal into the house when it detects motion. This lets me know when someone is walking by, a deer is in the area, the postman comes etc. While it works great, when it gets really cold, it doesn't work quite as well. Once the Lithium battery was inserted, there was more power when the temperature reached 20 below zero (F). This kept the alerting system functional even with a -60 degree windchill!This is precisely why I got this Lithium battery! It is delivering precisely what I desired.

I purchased these batteries because of their advertised ability to outperform their alkaline counterparts. We'll, I can finally confirm that they do indeed outlast them.Believe it or not, I still use a 20 year old AT&T answering machine that I purchased for our business back in 1995. I never purchased a new one because this one still works, and the digital voice quality is better than on those that are made today. It's kind of like my Garmin GPS. The voice quality on the first one that I bought in 2005 is far superior to that of one that I purchased a year ago. So much for progress.Anyway, the answering machine uses a backup battery to store your messages as well as your greeting. Where I live, we seem to have power outages at least once a month. Up until recently, I've used an alkaline battery as a backup. Even with an outage of less than 2 hours, my messages were always lost, due to the battery wearing out. That's when I decided to spend the big bucks and purchase these lithium babies.We'll, right on schedule, the power went out last Tuesday. The difference this time was that it was out for more than six hours, or three times the length of the outages where the alkalines died. To my delight, after six hours without power, these lithium batteries stayed as good as new. All of my messages were saved and the battery still has plenty of power left.The bottom line is that I now have proof that the lithium batteries do indeed outperform their alkaline counterparts. From now on, even though they cost more, I'm only buying lithium batteries. These are definitely worthy of 5 stars.

Ignore the "6x, 8x, 9x more" advertising hype on the package.If you have an unfortunate camera that cannot handle the low voltage of NiMH, you may need to buy advanced lithium to get a reasonable number of photos. Otherwise, get Japan-made low self discharge NiMH.If you want a double/triple-A battery that will not leak in storage, can handle hot/cold temperatures, and will always work when you need it, get Energizer lithium. There is no need to store batteries outside of devices, unlike alkaline. In my bug out bag, all batteries are lithium primary. Get the advanced lithium if your comfort depends on it, get the ultimate lithium if your life depends on it.Advanced lithium are seemingly all manufactured in Singapore (contrary to Amazon description). Most ultimate lithium AA are still made in the USA (ult. AAA's made in Singapore). Brand name alkaline are made in USA.Summary: Excellent batteries for emergency use. Waste of money for most regular uses.

J'ai commandé ces piles au lithium pour alimenter une petite station-météo, été comme hiver. Je demeure dans une province canadienne où l'hiver est passablement froid et installer une station-météo exposée aux vents et aux intempéries exige une alimentation en énergie électrique constante et stable, même aux grands froids. Ce type de piles répond très bien à ces exigences, mais on ne les retrouve pas partout. Quand j'ai vu qu'on pouvait trouver ces piles chez Amazon, j'en ai commandé. Très, très satisfait de cet achat, la très grande durée de vie de ces piles m'a vraiment impressionnée.

We ordered what we thought was 12 packs of batteries, but it turned out to be only one pack of two batteries. We contacted amazon and inquired. They provided a refund and great service.

Exactly what I needed for my Weather Station. This is recommended by AcuRite for all their outdoor weather stations. The newer version (Ultimate) does NOT work but these ones do.

Title is misleading for me - received a single pack but I didn't pay much for it. More likely a price error when I ordered it. Keeping them for emergency use since they are supposed to last a while.
