Amazing scent, not overpowering, lasts a long time, and is well made.

I first encountered this style of incense living in a Buddhist meditation center. This is *perfect* for everyday use, and it should be a welcome and familiar scent for meditators. I highly doubt you will find this quantity of incense anywhere for this price. I love being able to break the sticks for shorter sessions. Bad reviews might be due to people not being used to this type of incense. This is not your typical consumer incense that is long with a wood core. This is a very good quality incense of a slightly different kind.

This is the only incense I use. It smells like the incense burned in the Japanese Buddhist churches. I love that smell. Each stick is evenly made, all the same length and width.

This reminds me of going to my great-grandmother and grandfather's house they would always have this burning in the morning and evening this is a really good buy on Amazon you get a larger box then what you normally get at the store.

The scent in the box is very freshy and perfumy. No hint of sandalwood, at least to my nose. But its quality is quite high because the smell even after lighting remains the same as the smell in the box, and also remains for a long time after the stick is extinguished. Although I'm not a scented incense person, I prefer a sweet or spicy smell, I'm quite happy with this incense because it somehow keeps a natural smell. Plus, the amount is nice and generous, it will last me a long time.

Lovely scent! Not too strong when stepping in from another room. More of a soft hello as opposed to a HI. Decent burn time.

These are good quality Japanese incense. I have been using them (amongst others from Nippon Kodo) for a number of years. My favourite is the Morningstar sandalwood, however, these are just as good. It gives you a relaxing scent without being too smoky.

Dimensions d’un bâton : environ 13.70 cm de longueur pour un diamètre de 0.20 cm. Les bâtons d’encens sont conditionnés dans une boîte de carton des plus simples. En l’ouvrant, ils sont lovés et recouverts dans un papier glacé (malheureusement, je ne comprends pas le japonais), toujours simple, mais la présentation est agréable à l’œil. Les bâtonnets sont intégralement composés d’encens, sans baguette intérieure de bois. Il n’en sont pas moins solide, à moins de vouloir jouer au Mikado avec. En comparaison à d’autres produits que j’ai pu connaître, cet encens japonais se consume lentement, approximativement durant une quarantaine de minutes à l’abri des courants d’air. Il dégage peu de fumée. L’odeur de bois de santal est plus fine. Ce qui m’est bien plus agréable. Moyennant une douzaine d’euros en provenance du Pays du soleil levant, le rapport prix-prix demeure raisonnable pour une boîte de 300 unités (que je ne me suis pas amusée à compter tout de même). J’ai opté pour un support également des plus simples : une petite coupelle décorative de verre à bords hauts remplie de sable. The picture doesn't do it justice - this product is beautifully packaged and an absolute pleasure to use. Seriously, it's worth buying for the packaging alone. I would buy this as a gift for someone who is into design, it's that good. And the incense itself is excellent - lovely clean sandalwood scent, not smoky or overpowering. It's more subtle than Indian incense and doesn't fill the room with smoke. You can tell it's good quality, it doesn't have that nasty synthetic perfume smell like some incense I've tried. And you get loads of it, 300 sticks. Bargain! I've paid £6 for 20 incense sticks before - never again. If you burn incense, you should definitely try this, it's great.
