I bought this unit for use as a motion activated doorbell for my store as the one we had was way too quiet to be effective. The unit was easy to install and works perfectly; it's a great value at under $30. The chime unit can be free standing or mounted. The motion sensor can be mounted with mounting tape or screws (included) upside down sideways and has an adjustable bracket. I recommend using screws instead of the mounting tape included as the mounting tape is the standard two sided white foam type that will eventually dry up after a few years and sensor may fall. If you don't want to use screws, I would recommend you buy some 3M auto molding tape which seems to last forever and is very hard to remove. The sensor and transmitter range is fantastic and I had no trouble in my store with it (supposedly it has the range of up to just over the length of 3 football fields). I initially just put batteries in the chime and motion sensor after unboxing and installed them. The default setting is a motion activated door chime that is a loud ding dong ding dong. I did not realize that the unit had a host of other tones, features, voice you can program using the 4 buttons on the unit. I found the programming to be a bit tricky and for my use, the other features are overkill since I just needed it as a motion activated door chime. After messing with it, I found out that it has 4 volume settings. The default setting is set at the LOUDEST setting which is great for some uses. For my roughly 10,000 SQ FT store, the second volume setting is adequate if you do not have any background music playing.

This little thing is worth it's weight to me. My husband is a quiet guy and has come in from outside more than once while I was at my desk and accidentally scared the crap out of me because I thought I was alone in the house. It really works and the best part is you can set it for a fairly loud alarm, but I didn't want to scare both of us! Lol I found out you can set it to just have lights flash and it's perfect! They get my attention and saved my sanity!

This is the second set I purchased, and it works as expected. I intended this set for my front porch because the delivery people stopped ringing the doorbell. With this, I can be notified when motion is detected on the porch. The sensor is somewhat sensitive, as it can pick up solid winds or leaves flying around. Overall, I am happy with the product. The old set was for my deck, so I know when my dog is ready to go inside.

I purchased this for a friend of mine with some minor mobility issues. Installing it in the front of her house allows her to get a head start on answering the door.It was very easy to setup and install. And it works as advertised, providing flashing lights and chimes when someone approaches the front door.I did take one star off due to limited range of the motion sensor. The instructions indicated that it should react to motion out to 23 feet. I was not able to detect any motion past 10 feet.It worked for me, and I would buy it again if the need arises.

It has a range of upto 80 ft and allows you to know when someone is coming from several different entry points .

Battery life is really good, still haven’t had to replace them after months of use. I just leave it on. I like that I can turn off the sound so it is only has the led indicator. Fast response time and its detection is pretty good.

User friendly, reliable, loud, responsive, practical.Bought this in June of last year (1 year mark), batteries still good, lasts & works.Has a lot of alert sounds to choose from--most are songs but I like the liquor store shop ding dong sound. Receiver & transmitter both have button to turn off alarm if needed.We have it to monitor the garage & entryway. It senses heat from your body which activates alarm.Cannot turn off light indicator. It is small anyway.Highly recommend for extra peace of mind.
