TERK PI2ZV Amplified AM/FM Indoor Antenna

I live in a suburban market, Orange County CA, and I have a vintage stereo system. It did not work as well as my $1 dipole antennae. I made sure that I did everything correct including buying a 75 ohm to 300 ohm transformer just in case the 75 ohm transformer that came with it did not work with my system. It was very disappointing as I really thought based upon the reviews that it would provide better reception of my FM stations. It did not. I gave it two stars because at least it looked nice and was packaged well.

It works just like its supposed to but the stand is a bit flimsy.

Works very well for receiving FM signals. I compared this unit with a simple dipole and the signal to noise ratio was clearly better. Not as good as an antenna on the roof but that approach is not really necessary for bringing in local stations.

I like the product.

This seems like a great antenna, but unfortunately couldn't be used in our context - at the cottage which has DC power, converted to AC by an inverter which interfered with antenna function. Using the antenna resulted in worse reception and radio became totally unusable. Terk tech service confirmed that the DC/AC power inverter would cause serious interference so I had to send back the unit.

Do not waist your money on this antenna, it doesn't work. tried on multiple radios and signal got worst with this thing hooked up.
