Q: Can this be used to locate a break in a DogWatch dog fence?

I bought it to locate the dog fence wire for some digging that I had to do around where I thought it was located. I lucked out and plugged in the ear buds to the receiver and went looking for the wire. The receiver picked up the dog fence frequency perfectly. Locating the wire was very easy.

Q: Can this unit have the option of operate in the null mode...i.e. the sound turns off when the wire is located and 2) what is the degree of accuracy?

2 the first part I don't know as far as accuracy it is very tight

Q: will this work for a dog fence that is 2600 feet long?

I used it on a loop of a little less than 2000 feet.

Q: Can this unit detect multi-strand wires. Specifically I'm looking to find low voltage lighting wire.

That is why I bought it, for outside sidewalk lighting that wasn't working, It did the job locating the cable path. it also helped isolate a short in the cable.
