About how many degrees cooler can I expect from this cooling pad?

Before my laptop was running at a solid 88 degrees, but with the laptop cooler it usually stays at about 71. It was running very slow before and I thought maybe it was a dust problem but even after clearing my laptop out it was still running hot, I bought the fan and I’ve been happy, with no problems ever since.

does this product require batteries to work?

Hi there, The cooling pad does not require batteries. It does however require USB power. There isn't a built-in rechargeable battery so the USB power has to be supplied all the time you need the fans (and LED lighting) to function. The moment you plug into a USB power supply the fans start straigh away, delivering a nice cool air flow to the laptop base. I haven't tried it but would fully anticipate that, if you aren't near to a power supply then a power bank could probably be used. I hope that helps with your question.
