OEDO-KOH - Aloeswood 60 Sticks w/Incense Holder by NIPPON KODO, Japanese Quality Incense

I love this incense very much. It's a great scent, very light, does not linger too much (which I like because I can burn it in places where I do not want the scent to linger forever, like my office or a rented cabin). It is a very high quality and fantastic scent. Be warned, it is a very small box and the incense sticks are quite small (they last about 10-15 minutes). The quality of this incense is so high, I do not find that to be a deterrent, but you should be aware of it so that the product is consistent with your expectations. These sticks are shorter than your average incense sticks. I will buy it again, I loved it! Even my friend who does not normally care for incense loved this scent.

This is more expensive than other brands, and the sticks are much, much smaller. The sticks are really about 2 1/2 inches long. So, very small. And they have a burn time of less than 10 minutes. I still think it's worth it, because the fragrance is far less smokier and so you get the delicate fragrance of the aloeswood coming through clear. The fragrance also sticks around for a while after being burned down. To me, the purer fragrance quality plus the staying power makes these worth the price. I don't burn them everyday; Shoyeido is my everyday choice. But on days when you need a small luxury, these are great.

The scent on these is very sweet and floral. not harsh or musky a all. I like that there's no wood burning smell either. Tis is probably my favorite incense, especially for aloes wood. burns for 20 or so minutes and the scent projects well.

This incense is of the utmost quality, and comes in a beautiful box, and includes a little gold metal stand for burning. It is "koh" incense, of course: Japanese-style incense sticks which have no supportive bamboo stick inside them. Koh is famous for burning with very low smoke, and this is no exception. These particular sticks are not very long, only about 2.5" long. This tells me that they are for short burns, as might be used in a bathroom or kitchen to allay odors. This particular scent is lovely and complex... it definitely has a floral, almost perfumey quality to it, which you may, or may not prefer. Still, the quality is impeccable.

I've tried the Water Drop and the Sakura scent from OEDO KOH, but the Aloeswood has to be my most favourite. It's a very pleasant scent, not too smokey in my opinion. I will repurchase this once I use up my current box.

Small but mighty - these sticks are small but beautifully packaged and presented with a miniture stand. Each burns for approx 10 mins but leaves a pleasant aroma in the room for hours meaning that two a day will see you right. I have the Aloeswood and Pine, both excellent. Highly recommended.

I’ve previous to this only been exposed to Chinese temple-incense. I wanted to try something new and aloeswood I was curious about. It provided a natural, non-imitation like scent. Although a few sticks came broken in half upon arrival, I just burned those broken ones as individual sticks. I’m burning them for me, I’m not showing off to anyone -why would I care? Decent value for what was paid.
