Surprisingly good but flawed
The media could not be loaded. I have wanted a modular powered technic set for some time but held off due to the cost of sets. This set seemed a good price for a taster and it is pretty good. Building was quite tricky, I expected some fiddly parts but sometimes the instructions did not seem clear on what went where, I had to squint and carefully compare what I built with what was in the book.As can be seen I completed it, and thankfully it works pretty well, even though one motor seemed to have a damaged cable it still works. You can use the remote control or download an app using the QR code on the box and use that, the app is Chinese but if you tap the small Chinese letter's in the top right, you can choose English. It pairs quickly using Bluetooth and works well, in fact it gives more finer analogue control over the buggy where as the standalone remote is digital buttons. You can also use the programming section to program the buggy using basic and simple snap together commands.Three things that bother me though, the power pack is supported by one single peg as per the instructions, it does not even click onto the peg properly and in fact I almost broke the peg as inside the hole used on the power brick there is a thin thing in the middle that seems to stop the peg pushing in fully. The result being the power brick is more hanging on than held in place, I may have to do a small amount of customizing to secure it.Secondly the instructions are not clear or do not indicate where to place the cables, so your left trying to figure that out for yourself. I ended up just squeezing the excess cables in the back against the power brick.Thirdly, it's not a strong build, bump the buggy into something and the front suspension breaks, or a spring beam. Of course it can be fixed, but fiddly trying to re-establish the connecting points again. Also you have to handle it carefully otherwise parts will break apart in your hand. This not NOT poor quality bricks, in fact the bricks are pretty comparable to the leading brand, it is more because it is not designed to be robust. It looks good but corners have been cut to keep the cost down by reducing the number of required bricks to build, if it had more I'm sure it could be more robust.Lastly I must point out the performance of the motors, the driving motors are actually very quiet and provide decent power allowing the buggy to go fairly fast. The servo for steering makes the most noise, but is responsive and does it's job just fine. The power brick is sturdy with relevant connection points, even having one extra connection point free, plus it seems the plug bricks can stack. It is charged using micro usb, the cable is supplied but you will need your own plug or usb port.So despite its flaws I am satisfied, this has given me a taster that I desired, and in fact has inspired me to look at more sets similar to this with more confidence. Worth checking out as a sample of what powered technic can be.

Very good product but...
There is a perfect alternative for Lego lovers. Price is very attractive and everything was fits perfectly. Only problem was that servo motor mechanism doesn't work. I ordered new on eBay. Rest is working perfect.
