I've always wanted a scale for literally all recipes that don't use the imperial system but it has many different measurements. It was nice that it was metal, easy to wipe down and thin for easy storage. It works on batteries and its easy to setup with the two buttons on the front. The scale seemed to be similar in working as a scale I have at home for weighting boxes. Worked great for measuring grams for my baking recipes.

It can hold a larger bowl or pan. Accurate. Cleans easily.

This is a great little scale for weighing anything in small, accurate groups. We use it in our kitchen for weighing foods when cooking. We also use it on our espresso machine to weigh the dosage of beans to be used. This is a thin scale that can pack away in any cabinet or drawer.It has all of the basic functions of a scale that you would expect from changing the units, zeroing the scale, tare, etc. I actually plan to order a second to keep in my basement. Overall I am very pleased with this product! 5/5 stars.

This is your basic kitchen scale. It’s pretty lightweight, so if you are tough on your kitchen products, this does not feel like it will last in a lot of challenging situations with daily use. But if you just need a scale occasionally and are cautious in the kitchen, this seems like a good value, and is less expensive and mostly equally as functional.If we didn’t like it for the kitchen, I was going to use it as a mail scale!I don’t have any reference weights, but the things I did weigh were showing up within the expected weight range. I opened a package of lentils which claimed to be 100 grams (things never are exact in such containers) and the scale said it was 105.4g, well within the margin of error, and possibly more accurate than the packaging.I then measured 8oz of water (1 cup) and added it after hitting TARE to zero out the lentil weight, and it came out to 250 grams. 8 oz should be 226 grams, though it is possible I didn’t measure accurately, or the measuring device I used was not perfectly designed, so 10% could have been my own error… but it is possible that this scale read a little heavy.All of the different units described are there: grams, ounces, pounds, “tl”, kilograms, milliliters, and milk milliliters.This lead me to more questions – what is a “tl” for a unit of weight? Honestly I’m not sure. I tried to research this – 118 grams is 3.15 tl, but it isn’t a tael, nor a tola, as far as I could tell.Also, milliliters was equal to grams – 118, but milk milliliters came out to 114 milk ml. I suspect this is because milk has a higher density than water, and while 100 grams of water weighs 100 milliliters, 100 grams of milk would be slightly less than 100 milliliters of milk. So if that’s important to you, great, now you know!This does not have a HOLD button, so if you put something on it and cannot see the display, you are out of luck.The buttons are weird at first – there are ONLY TWO BUTTONS. Press the TARE/POWER button to turn on (they aren’t two buttons). Tap UNIT to change units. Press and hold POWER/TARE to turn off. Tap TARE while on to zero out the weight. These are capacitive, so there’s no button, just lightly hold your finger on the area to activate.

I got this scale to replace my old Escali, which has been a work horse but has seen better days. At around 6"x8" and a half inch in height this scale takes up almost no space at all. Don't pay attention to the initial information that says it has a 9"x6.3" working area - the dimensions shown in the Product Description are much more accurate, albeit a little smaller. That being said, the flat surface is so much easier to work with than Escali's 5-inch round platform, especially if you are trying to weigh items that won't fit easily into a bowl (uncooked spaghetti comes to mind).Having the controls at the front edge of the scale also allows you to weigh larger items without covering up the display, which is nice. I'm not sure how the ml setting is supposed to work seeing that milliliters are a volume measurement. Maybe it's strictly for measuring water? I do agree with the other reviewer who noted that the scale can be difficult to turn off. The display and controls seem to be on top of the scale platform, so anything heavier than a finger touch will register as a weight on the scale and it will not turn off. Not a big issue, but it can be a little irritating when you just want to turn the scale off and put it away. I ordered a set of calibration weights and will update once I see how well this scale does.
