da Vinci Watercolor Series 1200k Maestro Paint Brush, Medium Needle Liner/Rigger Kolinsky Red Sable, Size 14

This little rigger #2 brush was perfect for what I wanted. It makes free and delicate strokes, while holding a lot of paint! Even though it arrived loose in the box, with bent bristles, I brought it to the original point by using liquid soap and letting it dry to the correct shape. It held! It seems like a high quality watercolor brush. Thank you!

Well made brush.

This liner brush does not perform as expected. When the brush dries it flares out, unlike all my other brushes that keep their shape when wet and hold that shape when dry. And worst of all when used as a liner the brush will spread outside of the line. The brush seems much larger than the size stated. I have a larger synthetic liner that performs perfectly and conforms tightly to the desired line.

The brush is excellent quality and holds its point very well, enabling me to produce a straight line accurately. I reccommend this brush

A lovely brush to use where fine lines and a delicate touch are called for. I am perfectly satisfied with the quality of this brush.

The brush arrived in terrible condition. Instead of a fine tapered point, as pictured on the website, it looked like a fox tail. Completely useless for painting! The brush wasn't protected by a case or packaging of any type. It was just bouncing around inside a cardboard box.

Terrible rigger! Bought for a watercolor class, first time used & brush hairs were a mess. Won't buy a davinci again. Would rather pay same price at an art store for a way higher quality brush. Regret buying, what a disappointment.

I was looking for a hairline thickness liner made of materiel that could hold acrylic paint well. This brush is not very thin. If you look for measurements on this specific model you'll find that it is supposed to boast a 0.4mm thickness at tip. That's a tall order and honestly it misses the mark. The shape is closer to a cat's tongue sort of brush and it suffers from a lot of stray hairs. Its not a bad brush, certainly good quality as can be expected from higher end da vinci brushes but if you have a light hand a 5/0 sharp point brush will do you better than this brush.
