After 40 Years, I've Finally Found My Solution - A True Holy Grail Product
5.0 out of 5 stars - The Game-Changer I've Been Searching For My Entire Life I'm writing this review as someone who has battled oily and acne-prone skin for literally my entire life. I'm now 40 years old, and I can honestly say that this product has transformed my skin in ways I never thought possible. If you're reading this and you've struggled with persistent breakouts like I have, I hope my experience can help guide you to finally finding relief. Four Decades of Frustration Let me paint the picture: I've dealt with problematic skin since my teenage years, and unlike many people who "grow out of" acne, mine persisted well into adulthood. Through my 20s, 30s, and now into my 40s, I've tried what feels like hundreds of products โ drugstore brands, high-end skincare lines, prescription treatments, natural remedies, you name it. Each time I tried something new, I'd have that hopeful feeling that maybe this would be the one that finally worked. Some products would help a little, others made things worse, but none truly addressed the root of my problem. The cycle of breakouts continued, affecting not just my appearance but my confidence and how I felt about myself daily. It's exhausting to wake up each morning wondering what new spot has appeared overnight or dealing with the discomfort and inflammation that comes with persistent acne. The Research That Led Me Here After years of trial and error, I decided to take a more methodical approach. Instead of just grabbing whatever promised "clear skin in 30 days," I started researching the actual science behind acne treatments and what ingredients genuinely work for different skin types and concerns. That's when I learned about sulphur-based cleansers. Sulphur has been used for treating acne for decades, but it's not as commonly talked about as ingredients like salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. What caught my attention was learning that sulphur works differently โ it helps dry out the surface of the skin to absorb excess oil, has antimicrobial properties, and promotes gentle exfoliation. For someone with persistently oily skin like mine, this seemed like it might address the underlying issue rather than just treating symptoms. That research led me to this product, and I'm so grateful it did. My Experience From Day One I'll be honest โ I started using this with cautious optimism rather than wild expectations. After 40 years of disappointment, you learn not to get your hopes up too much. But within the first week, I noticed something different. My skin wasn't producing quite as much oil throughout the day, and I wasn't seeing new breakouts forming the way I normally would. The Transformation By week two, I was genuinely excited. Not only were new breakouts not appearing, but the existing ones were healing faster than usual. My skin texture was improving, and that persistent inflammation I'd just accepted as normal was calming down. Now, several months into using this product consistently, I can say without exaggeration that this has been a complete game-changer for my skin. The persistent acne that I'd dealt with for four decades is simply gone. I no longer wake up dreading looking in the mirror, and I no longer have to plan my social calendar around how my skin is behaving. The Reality of Living With Clear Skin Do I still get the occasional spot? Yes โ I'm human, after all, and factors like stress, hormones, or dietary choices can still occasionally cause a blemish. But here's the crucial difference: any odd spot that does appear clears up very quickly thanks to this product. We're talking days instead of weeks, and without the scarring and prolonged inflammation I used to experience. This is what truly sets this product apart. It's not just preventing new breakouts; it's fundamentally changed how my skin behaves and responds to the various factors that used to trigger severe acne. Why This Works When Others Didn't Looking back at all the products I've tried over the years, I think many of them were either too harsh (stripping my skin and causing it to produce even more oil) or too gentle (not actually addressing the problem). This sulphur-based cleanser strikes the perfect balance. It's effective enough to control oil production and prevent bacterial growth, but it's not so aggressive that it damages my skin barrier or causes excessive dryness. That balance is crucial, especially for those of us with oily skin who've been told our whole lives to "dry it out" โ when in reality, over-drying often makes oil production worse. My Holy Grail Status I don't use the term "Holy Grail" lightly. In the skincare community, that designation is reserved for products that are truly irreplaceable โ the ones you'd be genuinely distressed to be without. This cleanser has absolutely earned that status in my routine. It's now the cornerstone of my skincare regimen. Everything else in my routine is negotiable and can be switched up, but this? This is non-negotiable. I genuinely will not be without it. The Subscription Decision That's why I've put this product on subscription. After 40 years of struggling, I'm not taking any chances of running out and having my skin regress. The peace of mind knowing that a new bottle will arrive before I run out is worth its weight in gold. For anyone considering whether they should commit to a subscription, I'd say this: if it works for you the way it's worked for me, you'll want to ensure you never run out. The subscription also often comes with a small discount, which adds up over time for a product you'll be using indefinitely. How I Use It For those wondering about my routine, I use this cleanser twice daily โ once in the morning and once before bed. I massage it gently onto damp skin for about 30 seconds, then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. I follow up with a lightweight, oil-free moisturizer because even oily skin needs hydration. The consistency is manageable, and a little goes a long way, so each bottle lasts a reasonable amount of time. There is a slight sulphur scent, which is to be expected given the active ingredient, but it's not overwhelming and it doesn't linger on your skin after rinsing. Important Considerations Starting Out: If you decide to try this, I'd recommend introducing it gradually, especially if your skin is sensitive. Start with once-daily use and work up to twice daily as your skin adjusts. Patience: While I saw improvements within weeks, everyone's skin is different. Give it at least a full month before deciding if it's working for you. Consistency: Like any skincare product, consistency is key. Use it regularly as part of your daily routine for best results. Supporting Cast: This cleanser is fantastic, but it works best as part of a complete routine. Don't forget moisturizer and sunscreen during the day. Who This Is Perfect For Based on my experience, this product is ideal if you: Have persistently oily skin Struggle with adult acne that won't quit Have tried numerous other products without success Are looking for something that addresses the root cause, not just symptoms Want a product backed by established science (sulphur for acne treatment) Need something effective but not overly harsh The Emotional Impact I want to briefly touch on something that goes beyond just the physical results: the emotional relief of finally having clear skin after 40 years cannot be overstated. The confidence boost, the freedom from constantly thinking about your skin, the ability to leave the house without layers of makeup โ these things have genuinely improved my quality of life. If you're someone who's been struggling with persistent acne, you understand the emotional toll it takes. Finding a product that actually works isn't just about vanity; it's about finally feeling comfortable in your own skin. Final Thoughts and Recommendation After four decades of searching, I've finally found my solution, and I feel compelled to share this discovery with anyone else who might be in the position I was in just months ago. If you've been struggling with oily, acne-prone skin and you've tried everything else, a sulphur-based cleanser like this might be the missing piece of your skincare puzzle. This product has earned its place as my one and only Holy Grail skincare item. It's effective, reliable, and has given me results that decades of other products couldn't deliver. The fact that I've committed to a subscription should tell you everything you need to know about how much I trust and depend on this product. For anyone who's been on a similar journey to mine, dealing with the frustration of persistent breakouts year after year, I genuinely hope this review helps you find the solution you've been searching for. Clear skin is possible, even after 40 years of struggle โ this product proved that to me. Highly recommended for anyone with oily, acne-prone skin who's ready for a product that actually delivers on its promises!

Gentle cleanser
Non-drying, bought for rosacea, not really winning that battle and it's hard to judge effectiveness but with older sensitive skin I will continue to use this. Used it over winter too. So worth a try especially if you have type 2, I have type 1. My teenage skin would have loved this.

Spoiled texture?
Came with a weird texture, like the sulphur separated from the liquid... probably due to poor storage of manufacturer. But even so I still used it and it does leave my skin feeling smooth and clean, removed my makeup well. Really disappointed, thought I finally found a good affordable sulphur cleanser.. ๐ข

It does stink but that's expected.
Ok so the smell isn't overpowering but it does smell like eggy drains and it took a while to wear off. Even my nice creams didn't cover the smell but it left my skin feeling very soft and I left it on for 30 secs as suggested to let the actives do their work. I got it for redness and bumpy skin so we'll see how well it works. I have very sensitive and reactive skin which would tell me immediately if it doesn't like something, normally hates everything, but my skin feels comfortable and soft so the smell is worth it. It is Sulphur after all so it's gonna smell. I'm going to use it once a day only to see how it fairs. You also don't need to use a lot of it.

Disgusting consistancy
This did not work for me at all. It seemed to irritate my skin and given my main complaint about this product I was not keen to retry to see - so in all fairness I might not have given this a fair chance, and it might work for you. In the time I used it I was not wowed by any skincare benefits though, and did have concerns about irritation and potentially causing spots. My main complaint with this product is how truly disgusting the consistancy of it is. It is a slightly watery slightly oily clear fluid with yellow clumps floating in it, the consistancy of something which has started to curdle or gone off and separated. The yellow bits didn't emulsify easily and it was deeply unpleasant to use. It 100% felt like something gone off and that I shouldn't be putting on my face. I used it a few times but found I was revoluted by it and dreaded using it - I've used skincare products that aren't exactly a delight to use but at least they had results and make me feel almost queasy when I pumped it out. Normally if I don't like a cleanser I'll repurpose it on body or use it to clean makeup products - or I'll gift it. I didn't feel that I could do any of this with this product, so unfortunately I ended up throwing it out.

Amazing!
Been using this once per day for about 2 months as second cleanse in evenings. I massage in and leave for at least 30s. It does smell of sulphur and the smell lingers. I found this noticeable for first 3-4 times of use but donโt notice it anymore. I had been suffering for a couple of years now from painful cystic acne spots, mainly between eyebrows and on chin, that took days/weeks to surface then left post inflammatory red marks for months. This is all despite taking excellent care of my skin. Since using this I do not get these anymore. Big change! I will continue to use this and repurchase as would not want my routine without it. Please donโt stop making this!

Bad quality and texture
Put it in my hands to use it, the worst texture ever. It was most probably spoiled, have never seen any cream like this. Did not take the risk to use it.
