Here’s our story. I hope it helps someone else facing a tough time with pet health problems make decision whether to try this product. 16 year old cat with steadily waning appetite had lost probably 2/3 of her body weight with severe food aversion after several heath crises in a few months. Left hospital after respiratory distress due to pulmonary edema and now completely refused food for days. As a last ditch attempt to avoid force feeding, I ordered this when I found it and I began offering it on a spoon as she was very weak. It would always take several attempts to convince her to start licking. She could only take a few laps at a time so I basically had to do frequent round the clock offers. Eventually she actually liked it and began to recover very slowly. It took 2 weeks but she began to show interest in food smells and then after a few more days she began eating on her own! The worst months ever, but this stuff kept my sick old kitty alive and pulled her away from the brink of death. a month later she’s gaining weight back and you’d never know how sick she’s been. She still has her health problems, but she is no longer starving and malnourished. now that she is eating again I feel like we bought her some time and quality of life for however long she has left. All this to say, if your cat is sick and not eating this is definitely worth trying in my experience as part of your vet’s treatment plan. It’s available in single bottles as well. One bottle lasted me about 5 days at her intake level. Pricey but worth considering if your situation is dire or you need supplementary nutrition. I was desperate for a solution to avoid force feeding because it is so tough on resistant animals and doesn’t encourage them to eat of their own will. We were at that point though where it was coming down to that. Be patient and keep offering it. Food aversion can be tough to overcome, but this really helped us. We are amazed every day at how things turned around. I am grateful every day we bought with her incredible recovery!

Has saved 2 of my cats lives when they were very sick and skinny

I wasn't expecting a miracle, but I am very happy with this product. My little feral cat (now an indoor cat with my other two indoor cats), was on death's door. He had been attacked by coyotes, had one of his corneas ripped off, and currently has chronic kidney failure as well as an infection in his mouth. He's so anemic that they can't do dental work to fix the teeth. He couldn't eat unless it was like water. He got down to 9 pounds from 11 pounds. His fur was unwashed and separating and he was listless and did nothing but sleep. He's on constant pain medications which helps him to eat a little. So I figured this Rebound stuff couldn't hurt since he was basically dying before my eyes. I started it by using that 10 cc/ML syringe (no needle) with a cap. This stuff smells like chocolate milk. At first he didn't like the process of giving him the whole syringe so I gave him half the dose he needed (he needed 27 ML per day split into 3 times a day) so I gave him whatever I could get into him. Now... it's like giving milk to a baby. I hold him under my left arm, and hold up his face with my left hand. I stick the thin end into the side of his mouth and SLOWLY press the plunger so that he can comfortably drink it. It takes a little less than a minute to give him the whole 10 ml but he seems to like it. He's such a good boy! He had a checkup yesterday 1/22/2020, and he gained a pound and his blood pressure went from sky high to normal in only about 5 or 6 weeks. His fur is now starting to have its beautiful sheen back! This stuff did something amazing for my cat and I highly recommend it.

I swear by this stuff. I had a vet one time and she wanted to put my cat to sleep. I brought my cat home and a friend recommended that I put her on Rebound. It took about 4 days and my cat was getting better. I kept her on this for about 3 weeks. While treating my cat I sat down and read over the vets paper work. My cat was there for 5 days. and in the paper work they did not feed her. My cat was a champion show cat, and she had a litter of kittens. Her uterus got pierced from a kittens toe nail and infection set in is why she was at the vets. I swear by Rebound it sure helped save my cat.

This gives my 18 year old cat a good appetite and keeps her strong. This was recommended by the vet.

Not very impressed by the size and price as I really needed it so I had to buy it for my cat who is being tube fed..

A kitten came into our rescue org., lethargic, emaciated and very dehydrated. Due to lack of food and water for an extended period of time we tried this product we had gotten previously along with the Rebound electrolyte replacement. We slowly introduced the kitten with syringe feedings every couple hours. We had to be careful to introduce food slowly. After the first bottle was used we noticed a big difference in a positive way. The kitten perked right up and was interested in eating food! The next step was offering baby food chicken meat of which he devoured! We continued to use the Rebound Electrolyte formula along with this product over the next week. The kitten recovered beautifully without sustaining any organ damage. Today he is loved and cherished by his adoptive family and thanks to Virbac for making such great products we can use to help these stray cats/kittens recover when they have come from a tough start in life or when their owners no longer want them and leave them behind when they move. Would highly recommend this product to any cat who is a picky eater as well, they really seem to enjoy the flavor and helps get them eating a regular diet.
