Absolutely Love This Smart Lock!
The Harfo Smart Door Lock has exceeded every expectation. Installation was straightforward, the build quality feels solid and premium, and the fingerprint recognition is impressively fast and accurate. I love having multiple ways to unlock fingerprint, code, key, and app so it fits every situation. The app notifications and access logs give me real peace of mind, especially when I’m away from home. What really stands out is how seamlessly it blends convenience with security. No more fumbling for keys, no more worrying about whether I locked the door, and guests or family can be given temporary codes in seconds. It’s stylish, reliable, and has made my daily routine so much easier. If you’re considering upgrading your home security, this lock is absolutely worth it. Highly recommend!

Great device at a great price so far
Install was easy, didn't love that I had to drill through my door, in case the lock doesn't work out but that's my only complaint so far. I placed it out doors under a very small awning where it may experience a small amount of water during a heavy rain. I will update if it doesn't last. I have been buying locks like this for years (they all die after 3-4 years) and I usually pay about 180 for a much more basic push button version....technology has come a long way. The fingerprint scanner is fast and accurate. No need to push anything to wake it. The RFID card does have to make actual contact with the key pad, not just near it. I am aware you can buy boosted signal RFID cards....not sure if they are compatible with this handle. The led on the touch key pad is hard to see during the day and is kind of awkward to wake...you sometimes end up entering a key just trying to wake it or turn on passage mode (doesnt lock automatically) by mistake. BUT i have no use for the key pad anyway so i don't care. I like that the numbers on the pad circle when your fingerprint or RFID are accepted and make and X when its not. Sometimes its the details LOL. The programming was very easy. I just hate that even logged in as an administrator you have to hit the set up key (under the screwed on battery cover) to add a user or adjust settings. Overall great deal though! UPDATE!! After one full winter season outside, still going strong and working great!!

Fancy but unreliable. Old fashioned keys don't fail.
Expect to get locked out at the worst possible time. The unit did just that, it's mechanically well made but the electronics have issues, at a casual locking, carring with me no key, nor my cellphone, the lock stopped responding to my fingerprint and to the passcode too. I didn't get a new fingerprint, it's been the same forever. Bateries were alcaline and new. Connecting to a power bank via USB cable made no difference. After about an hour trying get the thing to let me into my place, I had to resort to a hammer and chisel, the lock is well built, but finally I was able to break it open, not without damaging my door in the process. I recommend leaving a spare key hidden somewhere outside just in case you forgot your keychain when you exited. (I guess not under the door mat). I got used to unlocking using my fingerprint or password, but that's exactly what failed on it. The privacy switch in the inside plate was set to general, not privacy, which prevents opening the door, I had tried it in the past and was aware of that feature.

Great lock with lots of features and excellent app
This lock is great. It has lots of features and everything works well. Installation was simple. A template for hole is provided for hole cutouts if you are installing it on a new door. I bought it for my bedroom door, and the main requirement was that it have a good fingerprint reader, so that I could get in quickly without needing a key or to punch in a code. The reader works very well and very fast, I'd say less than half a second to open. One thing I love about it is that the reader is angled at roughly a 45 degree angle, which makes putting a finger on it (I typically use my thumb) more comfortable than most fingerprint locks, which have vertical fingerprint readers. That may seem like a little thing, but it just feels like a more natural and ergonomic position. You can set up numerical codes (I think between 4 and 10 digits), and they can be permanent, one time use, or time-based. So, for example, you can set up a code that works from 4pm on Friday until noon on Sunday, so it's perfect for an AirBnB, houseguest, maid, etc. The code entry also worked flawlessly. Three keycards are included. You just put the keycard up against the keypad and the lock opens instantly. Honestly, I don't really foresee using them - as great as they work, I'll just use the fingerprint reader and avoid having to take anything out of my pocket. The backup keys provided in case of power failure (i.e., dead batteries) work fine. One minor nitpick is that the keyhole is hidden behind the face of the front handle, accessed by pushing on one end of the handle. It works fine, but my question is, will I remember 5 years from now (or whenever) how to access the keyhole? The TTLock app is really good too. That was a bit surprising to me, since a lot of apps for these kinds of things seem like afterthoughts. This one is intuitive and easy to use. If you have the gateway for the lock (purchased separately), it connects to the internet though your WiFi, and then you can even open the lock remotely. That's a feature I'm not planning to purchase, but I can see how it could come in handy for some people. There are a couple of features that I had not read about that I like. One is that the time that the door stays unlocked after being opened is very customizable (default is 5 seconds) through the app. Another is that you can set a daily period of time during which the door will stay unlocked, and then lock automatically. So, for example, you could leave it unlocked at night so that if the kids get scared, they can come in without them having to knock and you having to go open the door. The 4 AA batteries are easily installed. You need to remove one screw to access the batteries. A couple of minor niggles: I got the lock in aged bronze, which looks great, but the latch bolt and strike plate are both silver - would be nice if they were also aged bronze to match. Also, one thing I could do without is the voice saying "unlocked" when the door is unlocked and "locked" when it automatically locks again. You can control the volume of the voice by a setting in the app, but can't turn it off entirely. I think it's unnecessary, as there is a light that briefly turns green when the lock unlocks, and you can hear the it unlock and lock, so to me the voice confirmation isn't needed. But overall, this is as perfect an electronic lock as I've found. I can't vouch for its durability, since I've only recently installed it, but I'm very happy with this purchase, and I'm thinking about buying one for my garage.

Worked for a few months then broke - Seller Sent Replacement
Initially the lock was great. It had a lot of functions with the app control, passcodes, and fingerprint option. It was convenient and worked for about 4 months but then it suddenly broke. Out of the blue the lock would say it was unlocking but would remain locked. I was locked out for a while and ended up having to break it to get back in. I have another electronic lock from a different brand that’s lasted a year with no issue. The price point was similar so for a lock at this price to stop working after such a short time is unacceptable. Update: Seller reached out to me and sent me a replacement lock. So far the new lock is working fine.

Best keyless doorknob with easy installation and set up app
The instructions are very easy to follow and the door set up is extremely easy using the free app. It takes about five seconds to add a fingerprint user and I am remotely able to provide a timed and dated access remotely. Great feature for unexpected guests. I have another biometric doorknob with manual programming on the doorknob and Harfo’s app makes the other door feel ancient. Harfo’s customer service is top notch and responsive. I have emailed on weekends during non working hours expecting to wait for a working day but I always get a response. Would highly recommend this doorknob and my key chains is lighter as no house keys required and I never get locked out of the house!

Decent lock, but with some problems
The Harfo lock is decent -- I'm keeping mine -- but has a few problems. TL;DR: Pros: - Nice build quality, good looks, sturdy. - Installs easily, replacing standard door knob. - 5 different ways to unlock: fingerprint, passcodes via keypad, RF cards, via app, physical key. - App is really good and has a lot of features. - Power port in case batteries die. Cons: - Using the lock requires creating an account and registering the lock with Hangzhou Sciener Intelligent Control Technology Co., Ltd. (sciener.cn) - All data (fingerprints, door codes) is saved on Hangzhou Sciener's servers. - You must use the app to configure the lock. - Fingerprint reader is finicky. - Lock has an easily flipped "Privacy" button which could effectively locks you out unless you're an admin. Full Review: Pros: - Nice build quality, Easy installation: My previous smart lock worked ok, but it rattled and had a lot of play in it. This lock feels sturdy, there's no play in the door handle mechanism, and includes hardware that allows it to attach firmly to the door. Also, the look of the lock is understated -- not showy -- which I like. - 5 ways to unlock: Apart from fingerprints, you can unlock the door using one of the 3 RF cards provided, a keypad code, using the app or with a physical key. The key is meant to be used as a last resort, in the event the lock electronics fail. - Very good, feature-rich app: The app you use to control the lock comes with many features and is well designed. You can manage fingerprints, door codes and RF cards. For door passcodes alone, you can create permanent, timed, one-time, custom and scheduled passcodes. You can even send different types of eKeys. And, you can manage multiple locks and view access logs for each lock. There is a companion website which allows you to create an account and manage some of the lock's data, but you're restricted to editing and deleting entries. - Power port: There's a micro USB port under the lock's faceplate. It's to be used in the event that the batteries in your lock fail and the lock doesn't function. You can connect the lock to a powerbank and open your door. My previous lock had two metal contacts where you could jam a 9v battery. This is better. Cons: - Creating a lock account: In order to use the app to control and manage your lock, you must create an account and provide answers to security questions. I understand that not all data can be saved on the lock itself, but I didn't feel comfortable with all the data I was asked to provide. So, I provided fake answers to the security questions and made note of them. - Must use and login via app: You have to use the app to manage your lock, after logging into your account. I have a number of devices that are controlled via an app, including a sous vide cooker and the concern is always, what happens if the manufacturer stops updating the app and I can no longer use my app-controlled device? For a sous vide cooker, that's not a huge deal, but for a security device like a lock it's a slightly bigger deal. And, since you have to log into your account via the app, there's a second failure mode. The app could continue to work, but what if the website goes down? This to me was the biggest problem with the Harfo lock. - Finicky fingerprint reader: The fingerprint reader is finicky. This is true when adding fingerprints and when unlocking. For example, I wasn't able to add fingerprints from my wife's left hand, because, for some bizarre reason, her left fingers wouldn't register. Fingers on her right hand? No problem. Also, if your fingers are wet (rain, snow, sweat) there's a 90% chance the reader won't work. - Privacy switch: On the back of the lock (the "inside" side), there's a sliding switch labeled "Privacy". The idea is that when the lock is in privacy mode, only an admin passcode will unlock the door. I can see this being useful if you have a rental property that you sometimes use, and don't want someone coming in unexpectedly. The problem is that the switch slides over easily and is located where it could be slid into private mode by the brush of a hand. Unless you know the admin passcode, you could be locked out of your home. Luckily, you can turn off the privacy switch via the app, but you have to know about it first.
