Exactly what was needed!
I'm writing this review for my husband, for whom I purchased this product. He had one fall out of bed, and that was enough for me. I looked around for a bedrail that didn't look so "geriatric" and was removeable or folded down so we could make the bed when we wanted, and since you can just lift off the half circle bed rail, this fit the bill. Also, this can be used for an adjustable type bed, which we have. I am more than pleased with how this bedrail has performed. When my husband sleeps, he props a pillow against it (in case he rolls again, plus the bar is a little cold), and he feels secure having it by his side; I feel better knowing I'm not going to have a rude awakening by his falling out of bed. He is able to keep his remotes and ear phones in the handy pockets or integrated cubby. Full disclosure: we did not feel the need to screw the frame into the bed as is suggested for adjustable beds. By pulled the long strap under the mattress to the opposite side of the bed, it still felt secure enough to us with his body weight on top (the strap didn't seem long enough to go around the entire box spring, but for our needs, we were satisfied). By all means, if you don't want to take the chance of it moving at all, follow the manufacturer's instructions, and screw the frame into the bed. I'm very happy with the performance of this rail, plus it looks almost stylish in our bedroom.

I can get myself out of bed now!
Has been a great help getting out of bed, pulling myself up in the bed, and rolling in the bed. I have Parkinson’s and this helps me keep a little more of my independence.

Solid, well constructed.
The only drawback of this product is the assembly instructions. I originally got this for my youngest, who has mobility issues. They got frustrated by the instructions and buried the box in their room.I finally had time to dig for it. It took me an episode of "Murder She Wrote" to figure out. But once I did, it was fairly simple. The secret is the lines on the sticker. Make sure you line them up, either solid with the solid or broken line with the broken line.I have a wrought iron bed. Once I had it assembled, I could hook the straps to the bed frame. It is holding in place great. I've been using it for a few weeks now, and it adds support on the days I need help getting up or lying down.I have a thin mattress. It might be less stable if I didn't have it secured to the frame.I haven't used the extra features of the storage tray or the ability to remove the top from the base when not in use. I put my water bottle on the tray once, but it was awkward to reach for it as it was the same height as the curved bar.

Great bedside assist, however…
Excellent quality but did not work for my parents specific mattresses

Heavy duty, serious safety bar
The bar was a bit complicated to assemble, but the directions are thorough and easy to follow. It is incredibly sturdy. The security straps attach under the mattress to the opposite side of the bed frame, so the handle isn't going anywhere. The pocket is nice and I love the attached cup holder/container. They make great places to keep my beverage, tv remote, and anything else I want to keep within reach. I had abdominal surgery and this helps me sit up without straining my healing incisions, but I will keep this in place even after I am healed. It is my drink and remote holder but it also helps prevent my pillows from falling off the bed.

Solid Metal bar to hold on to & I like the detachable handle- Horrible to assemble!!!
The curve handrail gives me more room to get into bed; it doesn't move around when I am holding onto it, which helps me feel secure. The side dish is great for putting my cell phone and small items in my pocket. I also like the attachable side pockets to put paper in it.The color is fantastic, and it's made very well. What I disliked was assembling it. The instructions are totally confusing!! If it were a "snap connection," I would have given it a better review, horrible assembly!!! It took me way too much time to put this together.

Super Easy to Install, Polished and Sleek design
I use this bedside rail as a remote caddy....I know, definitely not its intended functionality, but So very useful! Very sturdy design with straps that reach to opposite side of bed to secure rail in place. I can't say that I've honestly tested full weighted pull ups using the rail but I have used it to brace my balance while getting out of bed,and haven't any issues with it's durability. Great aesthetic that toes the line of being a great medical accessory without compromising design very, very well.
