Pretty standard glass weights... they could be a little wider (of course this is a bargain as you risk not getting them in) and thicker just to give them a little more weight. However I regularly use them successfully when fermenting cabbage and garlic. Overall I just believe they should be cheaper as they are ok but with a price matching a medium-high quality product for something that is rather pretty standard.

This is actually perfect! I am a medical student who loves to learn about the gut and recently have been fermenting foods. My fear was that it may not fit into the jar or that it may not be heavy enough to press the content down but it turned out to be just perfect. Fits perfectly, is heavy enough and looks gorgeous. Very easy to clean since it's just glass. Good value for money, it's worth it!

I use these for when I make pickles. They do the job and fit nicely in any size jar mouth I need them too. It sounds weird, but I think they’re pretty looking, even though they’re just glass. They’re easy to clean and I just pop them in the dishwasher. I haven’t used them for anything else but I’m sure when I do, they will do the job in weighing the items down.

These came on time in new condition. They are a good quality, fit the wide mouth mason jar, are easy to place and remove and hold the veggies under the brine. What more could you ask for?

I decided to make some Sauerkraut - and bought some jars for this purpose. You have to keep the cabbage (or whatever you want to ferment) under the brine (liquid) and these work brilliantly. Very easy to pick up and work very well. Highly recommend.
