It works perfectly for our situation. My preschooler takes the empty plate to school. The school provides the food. The container is leak proof so there is no mess when my child brings the dirty container back from school. I would not recommend using this plate to pack lunches though, because nothing separates the compartments from each other. I wish the wells were a bit deeper, but the depth seems pretty standard on similar products. This is much cheaper then competitors as well. Mine had a crack in one of the feet that hold the lid shut, so I am debating returning it, but for such a great price, I might just keep it.

Good quality but pockets do not seal separately so if lunchbox turns everything mixes or spills together.

The kid is a little difficult to snap on. Almost like it doesn't line up perfectly.

Not deep enough to fot all the food

It's cute and materials seem good, but it is basically useless as a kid's lunch box. You wouldn't know from the pictures, but the food wells are very shallow and the lid sits a good inch or two above the top of the wells so if this was even bumped all the compartments would get mixed into one another - would never stand being in a book bag. So without the ability to use this to transport food I can't really see why anyone would prefer this over a just a normal plate.
