Yes we bought it as backup and first time I used it this past Monday and the cook pot was light aluminum bought it from Walmart and the cook pot not getting hot at all it tools a lot of time just little heat but if you touch glass is so hot . So it does not works with all cookware .

Use this cooktop as an accessory for house guests in spare room. Works fine w/non stick cookware. However, keeps tripping the electric breaker when plugged in. Wasted $ in an electrician bill installing receptacle GFI’s. Solution so far is plugging it into a power strip, then plug strip’s three pronged plug into electric receptacle. Without the power strip this burner’s like hair dryers that overload bathroom receptacles, requiring a GFI button reset. Had an old Black n Decker double burner fr mid ‘80’s to 1990. No GFI issues and it worked a long time. Good old fashioned USA made stuff w/ a regular two pronged plug.
